OMG... continuing with the fourth lines' poor play, Draper takes a penalty. -

OMG. If I hear these damn announcers say one more negative thing about the Wings I am going to die. That is perhap why I dread games on versus. -

LOL. According to dictionary.com it means: 1. a massive, elephantlike mammal of the genus Mammut (Mastodon), that flourished worldwide from the Miocene through the Pleistocene epochs and, in North America, into recent times, having long, curved upper tusks and, in the male, short lower tusks. 2. a person of immense size, power, influence, etc. I think he just used the word because it sounds cool and it makes him sounds smart (as a lot of people don't know what it means). -

Of thank God, the period is over. Kill the penalty, gain some momentum, score some goals. -

LMAO. With how they played in the second, I don't even know if that would help. -

Have to feel bad for Ozzie here. I know he has let in 3 goal, but the team is not playing well in front of him. That said, I am expecting a MUCH better effort in the third period (but have to kill a penalty first, now). Need this intermission to regroup and get refocused. s*** double minor. -

That's awesome!!! The only game used stick I have is Dan Cleary's. But I had to pay for it during the auction for Breast Cancer at the beginning of the year. BTW, does anyone know what happens to broken sticks. I always wondered why they don't hand some of those out to kids at the games.

I hope Phoenix doesn't fold. I like the Wings going to play there like it is another home game. I do agree with Summers coming here (I may be slightly biased, since I go to U of M), but he is by far Michigan's best defensemen and now the captain as a junior. However, I can't believe if (and thats a huge if) they folded he wouldn't go higher.

That is hysterical. I think I woke my roommate up laughing.

According to RedWings Live, the wings are outscoring their opponents 22-7 in their last five games. That is amazing. The offense and defense are clicking at the same time!
-
Damn... 4-1.

Penguins sign Jordan Staal, 4 Years $16 Million

What? You didn't enjoy that bongo beatdown he experienced? -
Great great article. With all the Detroit bashing, it is nice to read a positive, feel-good article about Detroit. Not many people would want to move to Detroit and its suburbs, but those who live there are proud to say they are from Detroit. BTW, Albom is an amazing writer, IMO. I wish I could get him to write this 10page paper for me

I agree. While I think Ozzie will be the goalie come playoff time, Conklin has been lights out lately. Ride him for as long as possible.

Anyone remember when the Wings had that celebration thing at the Joe after they won the cup in 2001-2002, where the players said speeches? Pavel after being in the US for a year, got up in front of thousands of people and read his speech. The English was hard to understand, but I loved how he finished it, "Thank you....all....of....you". How many people would get in front of all those people and speak a language you hardly know?

Just got back from the game. Yes, it took me 2.5 hours to get from the Joe to Ann Arbor. All the freakin freeways were closed... I am going to state the obvious: Nick Lidstrom is amazing. All the little things he does right just amazes me. I also thought Stuart played a solid game, as did Datsyuk & Conklin (that save was amazing).

I was watching ESPN and at the bottom it said that Rutuu denied biting him. Really? It looks pretty obvious that he bit him. But then again who would really fess up to something that messed up? I mean what is he, a dog? Who bites someone (other than Tyson)?
