I was thinking a similar prediction: wings head to the third period down 2-0 and storm back for 4 unanswered goals in the third. It just seems like pretty much every game has some variation of that.

Truer words have never been written. As for Chelios playing over Kopecky, I thought that was super classy, which is what the wings' organization is all about. Back on subject, it is scary that I have more faith in Lilja than Kronwall at this point. I will take Lilja and his stay-at-home defensive play anyday over the way Kronwall has been playing. To Kronwall's defense though, I feel that he is starting to come a round, slowly...very slowly. I just wish he would simplify his game. Quit being cute and make the easy, simple pass. Then again, I have never played organized hockey, so that is probably easier said than done.

Between the semin "fight" and crosby "fight" those have to be the two worst fights of the year (and semin's possibly ever). Whatever happened to squaring up and fighting face to face, throwing actual punches?

Speaking of the "he's gonna get it" clip, does anyone remember the circumstances in why the fairy wanted to get Samuelsson? I was trying to remember why he had the love affair with Samuelsson. That clip still leaves me laughing for a good 20 seconds everytime.

I will go with the Turco one, but all three were super embarassing for the goalie. All three were pretty much out of the crease by the time Pavel was through with them.

What was hysterical was a couple years back when my family and I drove to Chicago to watch them play the Wings and when Chicago scored they were taunting my family, saying Detroit sucks. Keeping in mind that this game took place in early April and the Blackhawks were not even near a playoff position, I laughed in their face and said, by the way, what time is your team time next week? They shut up after that.

Dammit... Wings lose (in OT).

I missed the first period (had to babysit), but from what I have seen in the 25 minutes I have watched, there have been so many penalties. It is getting ridiculous (although , a penalty like high sticking is hard to argue against)

Powerplay.

Except for a few brief moments, the Wings' top 2 lines (and of course the 4th line) were invinsible. That can't happen. Perhaps a bit too exhausted from all of the holiday fun.

I figured the Wings would come out flat. Considering they usually do and the fact that they flew in this morning to Nashville. Hopefully we will see a better effort tomorrow (and Lidstrom).

I can't believe how the wings are getting knocked to the ice so easily and so often. It is almost embarassing.

Seriously. That is the third time that he has dove. One time it led to a powerplay and a goal. It is bulls***. If the NHL wants to eliminate diving, they need to penalize the player diving and not call one on the other player.

LOL... They did say lower body, which could technically be that.

The team looks completely lethargic out there. They say they are thankful that Babcock gave them all day Christmas off and instead, left this morning for the game. If they don't get playing in this third period, Babcock might have to reevaluate that decision for next year.

Wow. Awesome defense there. Gotta love Maltby standing there as the nashvile player stands alone. Btw, I hate that stupid song they play when they score.
