I feel like that always happens against the Wings. If a team or player is on any kind of drought, it gets broken when playing against the Wings.

Lilja is a beast blocking shots.... quite possibly the worst 3 on 2 combo in history (maltby, draper, kopecky)

Anyone know when Chelios has only played one game? Injuried? Or just not able to crack the line-up (because Lebda is so good )

I don't know about anyone else, but unless Howard has gotten better since his last stint with the Wings, I am nervous. All I can picture is like his first shot against (maybe L.A.) looking like it went it, but he had actually lifted the net and it didn't count. He looked very very shaky. But who knows, I haven't really watched him play in GR. I don't know, but maybe having an unexperienced goalie in net will force the defense to pay more attention to detail and work harder.

I had always tried to give Kopecky the benefit of the doubt because he has been injured so much. But he is useless. Penalty kill, no. Power play, no. Four on Four, no, ect. At least Maltby can be used for the penalty kill. He is such a big body, but does nothing with it. That said though, he is not even close to the Wings only problem and getting rid of him still won't fix the goaltender/defensive problems. It will be interesting to see how the coach staff/management responds. -
If the Wings don't play 60 minutes against the Sharks, it could get embarassing. I know this team is capable of playing wayyyy better.

Indeed. While reffing wasn't the reason the Wings lost, it definitely played a role. They were just horrible. That Samuelsson hit from behind non-call was ridiculous. Then again, the Wings did have over a minute of 5 on 3 and didn't score.

Well with the way the Wings are playing, it should make for an interesting game against the Sharks.

Well, the Wings dug themselves a hole they couldn't get out of this time. Two goals in the first five minutes. Can't play lazy for 50 minutes and well for 10 minutes and expect to win (although it has happened quite frequently this year). Team needs to do something. What that is, who knows.

The Wings are doing it again. Play mediocre for 90% of the game and play simply amazing the final 10%. They are buzzing out there. Powerplay.
