Is it just me or do most commentators has a general concensus to be biased against Detroit sports teams? First versus, now I am finding the announcers on ESPN pretty biased towards the celtics.

First off, I want to say that their was no way that was goalie interference. What is the NHL coming to that a player can't even put part of his stick in the crease. But, from the other side, lets say this was interference. I do not get how the ref turns this into a two-minute penalty. Seriously? Two minutes for putting his stick in the crease. It is ridiculous. -

That was the first one that game to mind--sounds bizarre, especially when those (damn) versus announcers say it fast. Also, this is from the mlb, but my addition to the list of funny names would be Milton Bradley.

Here is my list: 1. Tootoo (he slightly beats out ribeiro, just because that annoying whistle that blows when he is on the ice) 2. Ribeiro 3. Erat 4. Ott 5. Laperrire (i know I spelled it wrong, but who cares I hate the guy ) And by default Pronger. I know we didn't play the quackers but just looking/thinking about him, makes me hate him.

LMAO!!! I do believe that the Carolina Hurricanes also had some sort of dancer girls, maybe cheerleads (i don't exactly remember). And we all know what happened to them. -

I was looking at the stats from the game: Pavel with a +4: that is amazing. Also, according to versus (so take it as you will), Pavel leads all forwards in hits.

Could the Stars have had anymore missed hits today? First Morrow misses Stuart, then Ott misses Datsyuk. It seems to me that their missing the net has affected other aspects of their game as well.

My sister and I were talking about how amazing it truly is to watch Datsyuk and Hank play. Not only are they the best two forwards on the team, they are top defensive forwards as well. While teams like Washington have Ovechkin as their top scorer, he is not a top defensive forward. Not too many teams can say that their two best forwards are also amazing defenders as well.

This team is unbelievable. No one was really giving them a chance to win this game, outside of Detroit fans: Melrose, Cherry, Wilbon, no one. And what did the wings do? Come out with a pretty dominant performance in all aspects of the game! Oh and, Congrats to Datsyuk on his first career hattie!!!!

Holmstrom gets slashed and hacked by Turco all game and never once swings his stick at him. Ribiero gets butted once by Ozzie's stick and goes all crazy over him. Is it just me or does he need an anger management class? He overreacted and should be suspended for it.

I figure if the league decides not to suspend Ribiero, I am sure he will get what's coming to him. You don't two-hand slash a goalie and get away with it.

He should get a one game suspension. I don't care if he was hit intentionally before or not. A stick is a weapon and CAN injure someone. Even if he was meaning to hit Ozzie in the chest pads, he could have missed and actually injured him. However, I have seen worse things go unpunished (i.e. lebda getting sucker punched last playoffs). The league needs to clamp down on this stick work.

What an awesome day: the Wings win the series and the duckies get kicked out in the first round I see Neidermyer and Selanne's rest at the beginning of the season really worked well for them.
