"Scout-savvy Red Wings are still flying high and mighty"
Wings_Rule_1010 replied to RedStormRising's topic in General
Thanks for posting. We are so lucky to have a world-class organization that has been good for so long -
I know I may be bias, but I would never trade Zetterberg for Crosby!
-
Let's see, a 10:30 start time and I have to get up at 5am to go to class. I will get like 4 hours of sleep Anyways, I am a little nervous about this one, but I think we'll finally see some secondary scoring tonight: Wings: 4 (Hudler, Holmstrom, Cleary, Draper) Sharks:2
-
I'll predict: Wings: 4 (cleary, zetterberg, lidstrom-2) Oilers: 3
-
10/3 GDT: Red Wings 3, Anaheim Ducks 2 (F/SO)

LMAO I have always hated Perry (seeing him wrack up all of those penalty minutes was hilarious). I loved watching him miss that shoot out. It made my day -
Thanks for whoever posted the web radio stream
-
I am thinking this game may be a bit closer than the last, I am saying 4-1 Sadly, I can't watch it

Penguins players personally deliver season tickets
Wings_Rule_1010 replied to Manoir's topic in General
I think this is a great idea. I would love it if Dan Cleary hand-delivered season tickets to me. -
I think that Cleary is the type of player that can change his game to fit the game type and what line he is on (2nd or checking). He gives the team versatality. So, at the beginning of the season, if we need a checker put him there and if the wings need a 2nd liner, put him there.

I am disappointed, because I liked Schneider (especially on the power play). But I am happy that this is out of the way. Now the Wings can focus on signing others (hopefully Markov )

What is your favorite Nicklas Lidstrom moment/play?
Wings_Rule_1010 replied to Salviaman's topic in General
For my favorite Lidstrom moment, I would have to say the power play goal in game two of the stanley cup finals against Carolina. The way he lifted his leg and fist pumped after it was awesome. -
No suprise, but definitely glad to hear

OMG. That rain was horrible. And to make it worse, I forgot my umbrella. So I got drenched. But definitely worth it.... good times
-
I am so relieved!! One big thing I won't have to worry about during free agency.
-
Ditto to that While I don't like particularly like the Ducks (nor Ferris because they play michigan ), I think it is great to have someone win the cup who is representing the CCHA.

Some of our top moments from 2007 playoffs
Wings_Rule_1010 replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in General
For me, my top moment of 2007 was Cleary's penalty shot against the flames, probably because I was there. The crowded at the Joe was the loudest I had heard it in a long time. -
When was your first Wings game at the Joe?
Wings_Rule_1010 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
My first game was back in 2001. After the first period some guy left the game and gave my sister and I his tickets (We had standing room only). It turns out he had row one. It was awesome. It was against Edmonton and Chelios scored the game winning goal in overtime. -
Kind of off topic, but I love your avartar. It is hilarious!
-
Thanks for posting!!.... however, with Anaheim just winning ( ), it made me so sad/jealous.
-
Same here. Not only am I bitter about the Wings losing to them still, I have always hated the ducks (which was furthered by them acquiring pronger).
-
IMO, I definitely think it should have been Guiguire. The only reason I ever saw Neidermayer on the ice was only whenever the obsessed commentators mentioned his name (which was basically everytime he was on the ice).
-
I am so happy the sens finally scored , but man was Getzlaf pissed. During the interview he basically called emery a diver and criticized the refs. He needs to settle down before he takes more stupid penalties.
-
I first remember getting interested back when they won the cup in 97', but it took me until 2000 before I really started religiously following them.

Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head
Wings_Rule_1010 replied to zetterbergfuturemvp's topic in General
To be honest, I don't expect anything less from Pronger. When I saw him do it, I wasn't shocked. I don't care if he is a talented hockey player. I have no respect for him.
