Someone posted in another thread that they counted in the first period the announcers said crosby like 25 times in the first period alone. This game would be deadly, lol.

Haha, same here. I thought the final scored would be a blow out, like 7-2, with the wings losing. I didn't think the wings would sweep, so I guess the Wings have to lose sometime. It just makes this game four that much more important now.

Wings didn't lose because of the refs (although how in the god damn world do you miss a 6 on 5 for 20 seconds?) or Ozzie. They lost because of s***ty pk'ing (per usual) and sloppy play yet again in the defensive zone. Way too many turnovers. Everytime there is a little pressure the wings defense freaks and turns it over.

I will never understand why penguin fans have such a feeling of entitlement to hossa. It is laughable. He was a rental player.

Orrr.. Sad that my sister took the time to do this, but she did a crosby count in the first period, taking notes of the times his name was mentioned. The total: 34 times!!! Thats like once every 57 seconds.

Wondering that myself. Not only losing, but getting outscored 6-2. Okay, so the two bounces in the first game were lucky. I believe you make your own luck. Put the puck to the net and see what happens. How do you explain the other 4 goals. Poor goaltending and defense? Or luck? The Wings made the best of their chances. Your team lost, whether they were outplayed, dominate, or whatever. I will take my arrogant ass (which I'm actually not, the pens still have a chance here), and smirk as my team leads the series 2-0.

Sad that those are actually sold, btw. But I am so sick of that Hossa "should have been penalty". Crosby did it to Hank numerous times in the neutral zone, only much more hooking, but nothing is called. If you start calling little chinsy calls, the game will be one consistent pp/pk.

I sure hope your team believes that they outplayed detroit, that way they won't fix all the issues they are having. BTW, I don't care who dominated, I will take outscoring a team 6-2 anyday.

Kinda related, but I love the cover of tsn.ca, has a picture of malkin, and the title is Motor City Meltdown, lol. That about sums up this whole incident.

When I noticed in the box score that Malkin got the instigator, I said to my sister, the nhl is going to "review the incicent" and change the on-ice call. Sad that the NHL is so predictable. Whatever though. I remember pronger was suspended in the playoffs for one game and the wings ended up losing anyways, and then going on to win the series.

Just got back from the game; what an emotional rollarcoaster. I have only ever gone to playoff games where the wings blow out the other team so this was intense. I am 7-0 going to playoff games so I need to go buy finals tickets... I am never going to bed cuz that game was crazy!!! Loved the Ozzie chants he was awesome along with helm and Hossa.
