Welll, it looks like if Nashville doesn't score here, the game is over.
-
Ouch. Good luck with that
-
I just started watching the game because I am a nerd and was at the library studying. Man, Nashville does not look good.
-
It makes me laugh everytime I think about how Nashville has a player named Fiddler. Kinda ironic. I don't know it just makes me laugh.
-
What up everyone? I am still recovering from a rough night last night. I'll be sharing my time between studying for my pharmacology exam and being on here... look forward to a late night.
-
I feel ya on that. I love Dan Cleary and have since watching him during preseason last season... by the way, I always love your avatar's saying. EDIT: youtube is working for me.
-
LMAO Ain't that the truth. Although, they haven't been too bad so far.
-
My apologizies. I am so uptight right now.
-
Ugh. No need to get insulting. It is hard to tell in the picture if he left his feet there. And looking at it again, it is still hard. At one point he did go airborne, but I think it was way after contact was made. People have their opinions, so I think it should be left at that. Some think it was charging, others think it was elbowing, and some think it was clean.... that said I agree with you on everything else you posted. But I am clearly bias, because Cleary is my favorite player. EDIT: spelling.
-
I realize that they both went airborne after the hit. But it wasn't like he jumped into him as part of the hit. It was more like a after effect after contact occured. LOL at the phaneuf after the hit!

I just think that Lang is the easy scape goat here, because of his apparent passion for the game. While Zetterberg, Samuelsson, ect, while not getting points, at least show some fire. It is always obvious that they try and work hard. Lang just seems to be in cruise control when he skates. Never accelerating to get to the puck or play defense. I think that is why he has become such a target. And a deserving one at that.
-
Both hits were totally clean... If you can't take it, don't dish it out. It is that simple. Looking at the picture, it is quite obivous this wasn't dirty: his feet are planted & his elbows are clearly not up.
-
It won't happen again. He has a bad game like once a season. Bad games happen even to the best of players. He will be great again next game.
-
LMAO...I definitey am proud. I just may bust out my game worn jersey of his and wear it around campus. But with my luck I would spill something on it ... thanks for the uplifting post
-
Agree .... If the Wings get called for a cheap penalty, their special teams needs to kill it. And if we don't get that many power plays, the wings need to capitalize on the ones they get. I'll admit, the reffing was suspect, but the wins still could have won it, but they simply weren't quite good enough.

Very true. That post actually makes me feel better for some reason
-
I would say it was an all around bad game for everyone (except guys like Cleary, Markov, Draper, and maybe even Lilja). The pp was like a 30% of the reason we lost. However, I do expect the Wings to play much much better in all aspects next game.
-
LMAO! Are you kidding? The puck was right there and no elbows were up. It wasn't charging and it wasn't boarding. How could it be a cheap shot? Just because Phaneuf is finally the one on the opposite side of the hit, they don't like it.
-
No I get it. I do hate to see some people be 100% negative over one loss. It is not the end of the world and the wings will come out better next game.... that said, our pp sure as hell did suck today
-
I must say, I love your quote in your signature.
-
Dude, no need to get insulting. There is nothing wrong with posting to let off some frustration and express our opinions. That is what this site is for. Just my opinon though
-
Anyone hear Babcock's post game comments? I was just wondering what he said.
-
Oh God. Don't even get me started with him. All I heard about was how Lang brought it in the playoffs. And he has been one of, if not the worst, players for the Wings. He doesn't hustle, doesn' t try and doesn't produce. He needs to step it up big time, because I know he can be a good player. If not, he belongs on the bench.... all right I feel better now. Just had to get my frustration out
-
The power play has been basically the team's only weakness all year round. They just need to compensate with another aspect of their game if they can't get their power play going.
