Cleary is the only sure one who won't sit. Between Hudler, Flip and Samuelsson I would prefer it be samuelsson. His season stats have been far from impressive (not horrible, but not great). It is time Babcock stopped looking at what samuelsson did last season and see who the better players are now: hudler & flip.

I didn't watch the north dakota game, but I did see the CCHA championship game. It seemed to me that he has been distracted lately and it showed in his play. He probably knew he was leaving. Either way, he was still better than most players even on his worst day.

Definitely I was also suprised to see him have such an impacted physicially, so soon. He has five registered hits in two games.

I don't hate samuelsson. But I do question his decision making and I almost died when I saw him playing the point on the power play yesterday

Damn... even though I knew he would leave, I always hoped he would stay for one more year here. You could tell he was ready to leave. He was always 10x better than everyone he played... anyways, I will definitely look forward to this.

My seats were in section 105, row 18. Pretty good seats. They were a Christmas present though, usually I am like in the nose bleeds. -

"I was there too! Great time, except the fact me and my buddy sat next to two drunk cougars. I was just excited to finally see a live shootout, excluding the unfortunate result. Bertuzzi is great to watch, he's hard to get off the puck, love him." Yeah, definitely was a great game to be at.... so, what did you think of the wave? I almost died when I saw it starting up. -

I don't get how people can even say it didn't warrent a misconduct. I can remember last year when draper hit a guy from behind, I'll be a lot softer and got a game misconduct and the other player wasn't even hurt.... whether Lebda turned or not, you have to be in control of your actions and have the common sense to let up. Anyways, I am just sick of seeing NHLers taken off on stretchers. I know it is the risk of playing, but it seems to be happening alot lately. -

I was really excited to see the Bertuzzi, Lang, Calder line! They were only out there together for a few shifts, but looked good. -

I had a pretty good angle of the hit. It was a delayed call by the ref (at first I didn't think he was going to call it), probably because he was thinking "did he just do that"? It was a pretty ugly hit. The announced that Ledba was doing well at the game, which I was glad to hear. I tell ya, it is the curse of Lilja! -

Just got back from the game. Even though the Wings lost in SO, I was really happy to see them all play with some passion. Besides Kronwall, I thought everyone played hard.,,, and it was really nice to see the Joe crowded and loud for once -
I have a Lidstrom white jersey and a Cleary game worn red jersey.

I do think it is semi-silly that people still boo. I get both sides. He did do a lot for the team during his tenure here, but I understand their frustration with him. But correct me if I am wrong, didn't both Fedorov & Shanahan leave for the same amount or less money?

Very true. Although Lang is a very close second for worst player. I will say, at least samuelsson works his ass off and isn't horrible on defense (like Lang). Take this anyway you want... he shooting percent is 7.2%

I wouldn't neccessarily mind the bad angle shots, if he would shoot the puck faster than 5mph. Those stupid wristers will be lucky to go in 1 out of 50 tries.

Not too sure if that was a rhetorical question or not ... but- all lang basically does is give the puck to the other team, take lots of hooking penalties, deflect shots into his own net and pass up one timers on the power play, choosing for the pass to the other team... I will say though, he does have "flashes" of brilliance.

I just think we all need to agree (along with Babcock) that Samuelsson should never be allowed to take shootouts again!... but seriously, I guess it wasn't all of his fault. The wings did only score one freakin goal
