With the physicality he's been displaying the last couple of contests I'd say it's not "enough" of an issue to hinder his play.

We're quickly devolving into the Preds message boards, talking about anything BUT hockey.

Yeah, the area right by the Joe is quite forgettable.. I guess with the exception of the Post. Nice view of Canada I suppose. I suggest Cheli's Chili, I like to take in a game there. Food is alright, beer is reasonable too. We have no answer really to a huge power forward like Nash when he's driving to the net. I didn't see it, but heard it on 1270. You know, Ken Cal (sp?) actually mentioned the "word" with about 5 minutes to go, so I knew it wouldn't hold up. Why the hell don't the radio folks follow the golden rule?

.. and a good one. With regards to Big Bert-- he seems to be getting closer every game to me. Bit more chippy, bit closer to burying some shots.. bit more chemistry with the team (although a new line already).. so maybe a goal tonight!!

Datsyuk, playoffs nonwithstanding, is one of the top 10 forwards in the league bar none.. just my opinion. With a healthy Zetterberg i'd even venture to say that line is probably the most dangerous out of any line. Including Heatley's, Cheecho, Afinogenov, Hossa, etc. etc. If there is any possible way of backloading a contract a/la the NFL to fit under the current cap, I think Kenny should pull the trigger. He's so damned exciting to watch. And, is it just me.. or is the little guy turning into a little scrapper on the boards the last month or so.. playing a bit physical! *I'm sure I goofed on some European names, forgive the Covenant.

Come now, I think motocitykid did a FINE job! Anyhow, first Wings game in my new house!! Should be a good omen, and.. yet another slaughter of the hapless BJ's. They lost another defenseman, (Tollefson?) from a nice Bertuzzi hit the other day, so they are moving some forward back to D I heard. I say rest even more guys for this one. LOL - you crack me up, I love the "Pain Train" nick and how it stuck immediately. In all seriousness, I haven't liked Kronwall's play at all this year, if anything he seemed to have regressed somewhat, in everything. I don't want to rip on a guy who went down, but as blasphemous as this seems to say, I think besides the "Train", he was the most expendable. Now, do we really want Kyle Quincey to have to fill in Game 7 vs. the Flames @ the Joe?

I didn't notice any horrible mistakes, so I suppose he was alright. Markov though, dude looks like he can't handle the puck one bit of late.

Nice shift by Draper's line. Vokoun looks a little disoriented. Conversely, absolutely brutal giveaways by Schneider and Lilja are leading to some dangerous chances at the other end. I think Trotz will hammer home "more shots to the net" in this intermission. Lots of cute passes, sometimes one too many in the Preds offensive zone.

Not likely, as Tutu-train is still serving a suspension for his latest cheap shot.

now now, let's not anger the hockey gods. Could come back to bite us. Besides, I'd rather we take the Preds out in the WCF with them fully healthy.

Langer, you toker! Should be an interstesting day in this GDT, sadly,.. not so much on the Preds boards. I enjoyed the tone of the Ducks game, I think we should hustle just as hard, and tonight is our offensive breakout game. Even if not, our defense is completely superior to the Preds. I think the Sharks are hands down the class of the West.. besides us of course Anyway we look at it boys/girls, no opponent will be easy.. but with the intensity ratcheting up lately, I'm really looking forward to the Preds game, and Dallas!

It completely motivated the team.. I was there, I'd say the fight was a draw. But, .. unlike some ignorant posters (which there will always be), the fight did what it was supposed to: FIRE UP THE TEAM! Period 2 was totally dominated by the Wings. "The Pain Train" .. Selanne burning by Mr. Lilly nonwithstanding, (which he can do to a LOT of defenseman), I thought he played quite well.

I hate Calder, Franzen and Cleary. They never hustle to the puck, consistently play poorly on defense. Seriously? Markov and Kronwall lately. Do you feel confident with Markov behind his own net, gets a forechecker up in his face and he has to puck-handle a bit? not me. Even Babcock doesn't get it. Post game interview on 1270 he said something to that effect too. "I don't understand the negative press Langer has gotten this year"..

..'lost out there' ?? Don't think so, at least not in the last 2 games. He seems quite comfortable already. Yeah, it's called a slump.. kind of like the Flames have been in all year.

Aflac, you get a much deserved GDT off. Bert might not score, but he'll have a helper I think. Time for predictions. Still dunno if Ozzie or Dom is in net, but at this stage it doesn't really matter. I honestly think that either one gives us an equal chance at winning. To be frank, Ozzie has looked sharper this month.
