If 2K7 is any indicator , he's got a heckuva wrist shot! (yeah, finally rosters were updated online). It'll sure be strange to see Sergei on defense, and Bertuzzi in the Winged Wheel. Glad they chose to finally broadcast in HD. Anyone know why about 1 out of 10 games is broadcast in HD for FSN? I'm sure it's more bandwidth to stream the much larger files/pics, whatever, but channel 201 is usually "Off Air" I'd hope Calder gets to stay with Bobbert and Lil'Jiri, because if so.. that will equal 2 goals--can't quite figure out who this early, but maybe Mr. Calder in a scrum in front of the net. Jiri will also score one -- one of Bobberts patented delayed wrister off a BJ's leg will inadvertently direct off of Jiri's skate into the net. With the day off for travel, does anyone think Babcock is sort of "benching" Hasek for his stupid-ass move the other night, or is it just time for some rest? This is ridiculous. I said I wouldn't read these pages because it would just piss me off, but I'm stuck at work, so why not get riled up. I thought we skated just fine with the Flames all game long - - it was a battle of attrition to see who would falter first mostly.. Hasek blew it, but w/99pts., an assured 1st or 4th finish in the Conference it's amazing to read all the negative posts though. "Unless we get lucky and draw Minny or Dallas".. come on. You heard Babcock say it the other day I'm sure, there are NO EASY DRAWS in the playoffs.

I know they were "desperate", etc. But I feel like we gave one away. That being said, I have no problems if we draw the Flames in round one. LOL, I'm not even bothering to read all these pages of threads, most of which are probably repeats of what was said on this particular page. "Wings have failed the test", etc. Get serious, please someone spare me and say not everyone is doom and gloom because we lost two games out in Western Canada. Sheesh, it's the same s*** everytime the Wings lose I agree.. but to say we can't "compete" or win a 7 game series against teams like Calgary or Vancouver is utter bulls***. Goaltending? I think we more than match up. Forwards? Check, I'll put our healthy lines out against any team, West OR East Defense? Smallish, but super duper skilled.. We're going to be fine boys/girls.. let's get real.

Luckily I missed Saturday nights tilt... Even on weekends those 10pm starts are brutal. 9pm is alright though I suppose. I've always enjoyed games vs. the Flames, so if I take a little nappy after work I should make it Strange to read on CalgarySun.com how the defense has fallen off this year, and the offense has turned it up for the Flames.. that being said, didn't like reading that Chelios got a night off, for some reason I feel so much more secure with Chelly back on the blue line.. hmm.. maybe it's because Lilly-farts has to play? I predict yet another Western Canada loss, so all the Wings pundits can be sent into a tizzy about how we "can't beat" good teams, especially on the road. Flames 3 - Wings 2.

Hey everyone! Just got back from the game (long story: last minute ticket obtained at work!!) Great game overall. Few impressions before I head online to play some 2K7 (yes, they finally have Big Bert on our roster, with Calder, etc.. a bad-ass team) Hudler looked like he was posessed .. Babcock seemed to stick mainly with 3 lines, and Lang's getting the most play by far. Anyhow, he was actually skating hard to every puck.. be it a chip-in or just a loose puck.. great stuff. Yeah, Lang takes some great hooking penalties, but live?? He looked relatively QUICK tonight!! Great game! Awesome, 37 pages of feedback to read tomorrow in the cubicle.

"FSND (HD)" Thank GAWD!! SO much better of course, but it's that 5.1 surround sound that really makes it so much more intense when on the HD channels!

They did, but what would you rather have "fun" with, cheering our boys on after a win?? Or their ace-goon laying into one of our Grand Rapids call-ups. Who gives a s***.

That was a pretty intense affair last night, looking forward to tonight's tilt for SURE!! In typical Wings fashion, we come out flat... get outshot 14-5 in the first period, and fall behind 3-1. Storming back in the second, fueled by some scrappy/chippy play by our beloved Griffins (who will get more than 3 minutes tonight) we go into the 3rd tied.. Then?? Well, that's why we watch the game.. I expect Hasek won't be left out to dry like Sunday, and he'll be wanting to top his counterpart Ozzie to put a halt to the inevitable "goalie controversy". Ozzie played incredible last night, especially his Hasek-like stacking of the pads on Kariya, and the sick glove save on Arnott (although the Tennessean said it was a juicy-fat rebound he let slip just before that shot, so he better make amends) I'll say: Wings: 6 (LazySucks, Huddles, Flip, Dats X 2, Drapes) Preds: 4 (Zidlikcy, Suter, Weber, and a random forward) *No doubt puckloo... be POSITIVE folks!

I listened to the 1st in the car... watched the 2nd. Preds seem hesitant to play hockey, but not hesitant to hit... they've been caught a number of times not paying any attention to their teammates, and out of position. Patience will win this particular battle, and I'm putting my chips on the Wings.

I'm no goalie basher, but Osgood looks comPLETELY lost.

Situation solved, obviously the game feed in HD, then turn off the sound, crank on your AM radio to 1270!! Best of both worlds!
