No doubt. Threads like this are nonsense from "fans".. yeah, he's SUPER rusty, but Babcock isn't an idiot. He was "demoted" to the 4th line last game for a reason. Lang and Tuzzi on Line 4 is a good combo. Let's encourage Todd, not rip him to shreds.

In the end, while this series can certainly swing either way, I'd rather have that veteran presence you're talking about. It beats out youth sometimes.. (as witnessed by coming back from 2 goal defecits in both of our wins) Hey Calfan! What up. Good post, but was wondering if you had any theories behind the above quote. Why can't they play 60 minutes? WHY don't they have a killer instinct. I agree, when they were firing on all cylinders, the Wings looked hopeless.. Does it maybe go back to Big Joe's questionable leadership qualities that the Boston newspapers frequently slandered him with? Maybe accurate? I know their Captain hasn't done f***-all..

it was the Karma of the autographed Bobbert sweater, I'm tellin' you guys/gals.. In between periods, all stressed out, gazing into my firepit.. I called upon his prowess, I searched out for some sort of mental contact with the ineffable Langer, and he came through... (probably because I was swilling Bud Lights at the time - the same beer he and Huddles were swilling that precious night I got him to autograph my sweater.. )

Haven't they already beaten us @ the Joe? I predicted Wings in 7 .. but I'd be happily surprised if it's 6, ... because I think after tonight the Ducks will be waiting with bated breath .. um, on their bills. I strongly disagree. We've carried much of the play.. not entire games, but LONG stretches of games. And, momentum is huge.. and of course, our goalie is all-world. Nabby is great, but he isn't Dom Hasek.

Um.. no. Lidstrom has been our best defenseman. Then Chelios (I think), then Lilja. BUT, that being said... I echo the "Kronwall Who" sentiment. Quincey is doing fine, smart with the puck, but Lebda really brings the speed, and a tiny bit of offence to our equation.

but dearest puckloo .. Hasek played like crap, I am really doubting his abilities... YOU KNOW I'm teasing you. Schneids, Hasek a strong game, the "bounces" went our way in the end, but that doesn't happen for no reason.. great hustle tonight Wings. Sharks may have carried the first period, but maybe from about 5 minutes to go in the 1st the ice tilted a bit towards our side. I like our chances Saturday w/Dom and .. HOPEFULLY Homer is alright!!

What up boys/girls!? ..been sick a couple days. Anywhoo, tough series for the Wings, we all knew that going in. Damn those Canucks for taking out Dallas. That being said, the Wings have dominated the Sharks for small periods of time, and the Sharks have dominated the Wings for large stretches of the games.. which we need to reverse. They are big/tough, whatever, but it'd be nice if the Wings played their game for a sustained period of time. If so, the series will last my predicted 7 games - - -which I tend to give the nod to Dom Hasek @ the Joe! I think we're all realizing what Homer means to Line 1, a lot. Nobody has developed better chemistry with Pav/Z. Mickey also noted that in the last game, Big Bert sure is parked in front of the net, but to tip the damn puck, you have to be LOOKING at it!! Seemed everytime he got in front of the net successfully he's jump in the air and the puck would hit his fat -ass. Anyhow, tough one tonight as well.. but, it's nearly a "win or go home" situation. I like the Wings chances, and will be up happily until 1am to see us win. Wings: 4 (Homer X 2, one on the PP - - Datsyuk, Schneider with the game-winner) Sharks: 3 (3 people that Thornton passes the puck to. )

Not just missing his tenacity in front of the net, but obviously his skill at deflections, irritating the goalie within the rules, etc. This is a HUGE loss, let's not kid ourselves.

I guess upon further reflection what bothered me the most is how easy San Josie made it look once they got up a goal. And.. props to Grier, what a shot, turn-FIRE, goal.

Samadelphia: GOOD example of a Sharks fans post Exactly Defenseman13, ..although the Sharks won, they didn't seem very into it either. It is sort of worrisome for both teams to play this lackluster.
