    Here comes the bluster..

Okay, well.. thanks for sticking up for me LGW'ers. I'm just going to quote myself then. I don't think I mentioned anything in the above quote about Flames vs. Sharks.. but let me reiterate: Saying the Wings are still too soft is ignorant. That is all. No more food for Samdelphia or whatever his name is.

    Homer News?

I suppose I'm never going to read something intelligent from you, but.. I hold out hope. Sullivan had been out for nearly a month before the playoffs even started. A chronic back injury and a recent gash near the eye aren't quite the same.

    Maggies picks , Round 2

Regardless of your COMPLETELY tasteless avatar, hilarious post. and, our first Troll has arrived. Don't feed him/her like I am please. Really, Sharks in 5? Fed-Ex me some of that phat-NoCal weed you're smoking eh? Address available in a PM.

    SHARKS

Do we really need bush-league threads like this? Everyone knows this will likely be the stoutest test of the entire playoffs (yes, tougher than the "mighty" Ducks).. so flat-out saying we'll crush the Sharks is ignorant.

    Here comes the bluster..

Clearly you didn't take in any games in our first series? This is as ignorant as it comes.

Welcome to LGW, San Jose Sharks fans

Yes, howdy Sharks fans! As far as Nabby not = Kipper.. I disagree in one sense, if we're just going to fling 50 foot wristers in on him, he can stop all of those too. You'll find (for the most part of course), we only talk hockey here, and DON'T sling s***. <--- and note, our Forums aren't censored!! Hooray! Your team is damned good (censor), but so is ours.. I can imagine your relief of dispatching those GOONS that call themselves Predators again, a big thank you for that. If you caught any of our Game 5, you can see that the Flames were gradually evolving into more of the same. Here's to a hard-hitting, but clean series folks! Enjoy your stay! (however brief it may be.. LOL) I'll say Wings in 6. Bertuzzi series MVP.

Official Monday GDT: Stars @ Canucks, 9PM EST

Nucks looks impossibly lifeless in a Game 7 at home, amazing. Stars are going to roll.. which, in this series means.. 2-0

    bye bye nashville

Always have been a classy Preds fan drsingle.. Peace brutha.
  10. Datsyuk: "Very intimidated" after the hit by Phaneuf. (from CalgaryPuck.com) Kidding, played well. Zetts: Clearly is coming around, quite physical himself, no?!! Homer: Alright, showed bursts of speed! Lang: BRUTAL, but... pretty big goal yesterday I'd say. Mule: LOVE him, A+, hits like a truck. Tuzzi: Getting better each game I think, should do well in round two with a few days rest. Drapes/Cleary/Malts: Best checking line bar-none in the NHL. Flip/Huddles/Sammy: Well, Flip got pushed around a bit, still makes nice plays though, skates hard. Huddles didn't show me much, Sammy sucks. Lids: _____ Burned in Game 3, but other than that, stellar. And, I like the 26 minutes or so average. (OT game will probably skew that stat though) Markov: Fewer giveaways I think, but still looks confused handling the puck.. good thing he hits, and does very well in board work. Schneids: Dude.. can't you PASS ever? .. strong series I think, hardly any gaffes. Lebda: PLays within himself always, speedy getting back in coverage. Lilja: PainTrain didn't wreck anyone, nor did he seem to goof up too much, .. definitely NOT his best game in #6 though. Chelios: What can you say, amazing. PK tenacity (woopsie in Games 3 & 4 though, out of position.. BUT, they were 5 on 3's) Quincey: MY HERO! Hasek: Good enough when called upon, but honestly.. I hope he sees a bit more rubber in the next series. The one time they were patient and waited for him to flop nearly cost us Game 6.. but he is a difference maker for sure, and I'm just nitpicking. P.S. Anyone really miss poor Kronwall? I've never been a huge fan, but just a wonderin.. His open ice hits are about the only thing I missed.

    Pre-GAME 6: (4/22) Red Wings @ Flames - 9 PM ET

This will be a great one I think.. Flames fans condoning any kind of action that their frustrated team took yesterday are mentally ill. Wings win a close one, maybe 2-1, or 3-2.. somehing like that. Zetterberg (obviously) seems to have gotten his touch back, which is bad news. Z @ even 80% is FAR AND AWAY better than any forward with a Flames sweater on, in my opinion. ME TOO!! It's Sunday for pete's sake!

Should we build our own "Legion of Doom" ?

yeah.. and an assist, and +2. sheesh. Edit: Just wanted to get out there in as many of these freaking threads as possible.. Mule/Lang/Bert line was AWESOME last night, that should not be broken up.. And, much to everyone's chagrin, Calder's 6 minutes or so of icetime was justified. Dude hasn't brought anything to the table yet this postseason.

    Post-GAME 4: Flames 3, Red Wings 2

Ahh.. the playoffs. Amazing how it brings out the Negative-Nancy in all of us eh? Calfan/Matt/Esteef/OsGODand a couple others are the voice of reason so far in this thread. Hasek is playing average at best, getting pissed off like Calgary wanted.. that, and our ineffective powerplay are the reasons we're tied in my opinion. That's just it though, we're TIED .. Both stellar home teams. Tell me this though LGW'ers ---> Out of both teams away performances, which teams was worse? Exactly - The Flames were simply horrendous @ the Joe. No, we can't expect the same lackluster performance this time, but at least the Wings were IN those two games in Calgary. Gotta remember, they did win 30 games at home in the regular season, that is one nasty barn to play in. of course, I'll hope for some moxie out of the boys Sunday night to close the Flames out. Game 3 & 4 were nerve-wracking enough, I don't know if I can stomach a Game 7 in round one!!

    "the dominator"

Thanks puckloo! Aww.. I love the Dominator! Now just don't let Iggy rattle you in Game 5, show us why we brought you back! (heck, I'll even throw in an extra $450,000 if you can beat the Flames ) No doubt OsGOD -- - how many times did they have to show the replay for us to see the deflection? Once for me! As soon as Conroy raised his hands I knew it had to have bounced off something, Dom doesn't let in Cloutier-Style goals.

    Post-GAME 4: Flames 3, Red Wings 2

As much as I didn't particularly care for the officiating, (even the Calgary Herald called the Lidstrom on Iginla penalty "phantom") the Wings got their fair share of calls too. It's a bit humbling to see the events play out, just how the Flames-Loyal predicted: -Hasek gets people in his face = he gets rattled. check -Datsyuk has less time & space = he gets quiet. check -Special Teams battle clearly in the Flames favor check On the flipside, plenty of things are going along just fine too.. so this is the glass half-full part: -Bertuzzi is a force. You could start to see his effectiveness in the second half of Game 3. -Zetterberg is clearly not healthy, but hopefully the more games he gets under his belt, the better he gets. -Goaltending while not down 2 skaters has been great -Physical play is a wash. I think both teams are equally as physical. -The series is TIED.. although listening to the usually skeptical Detroit Media, you'd think the Wings were down 0-3. And finally... this is perhaps the reason the Number One seed could mean something this year.. as Wings fans can see, the crowd @ the Saddledome is really a factor, and luckily, in this new "Best of 3" series, 2 of the games are at Joe Louis Arena! **Great game by the Flames, kudos where they are due. Hope springs eternal though.., looking forward to an always pivotal Game 5 @ the Joe!!
