Pre-GAME 4: (4/19) Red Wings @ Flames - 9:30 PM EDT

Hasek looked fine on Tuesday to me. Giordano's goal was a bad clear, and a completely screened shot, and what can you say about Iggy's goal-- a thing of beauty! -

The Calder thing I heard as well, I think it was slightly out of context. He was merely saying that the entire line was doing nothing, including everyone's darling around here, Mr. Calder. -

You know what folks?? I'm not even upset we lost Game 3. "Sweep" was never in my mind as a possibility, and although the Wings played sluggish in the 1st (what's new), it was one damned entertaining hockey game. Bertuzzi looked sheepish at first, then he started checking people on his own, and was fine after that. I feel bad for Huddles, but with a game under his belt (again), I think Todd will be more effective tonight. I also concur with a few posts I've read here, I'm not at all nervous like I was before the last game. PP and PK have to do better though. Heck, wasn't it Lidstrom's failed clearing attempt that lead to the tying goal? How often is St. Nick going to be responsible for both the tying goal and Game winner!? Eek! This game will be a tight one. Wings: 2 (Lang PP, Zetterberg) Flames: 1 (Langkow) -

Roll over? Nah, but if you base the teams performance on the first two I wouldn't give them a chance in HELL. LOL, no, but welcome troll (likely 14 yrs. old).. you'll find that we expect the BEST out of the Flames tonight, why don't you read the entire thread before spewing your useless trashtalk s***. -

Funny, the Flames-Loyal do just as much bitching about the (gasp) 4pm starts!! .. but, in kindness, most are still at WORK when the games start there! -
No s***, me too. Resin tokes are a ***** sometimes.
-
Checking line (3rd) must still be Drapers.. and I'd switch Bert for Mule.
-
Lots of assumptions here, I dislike this thread.. BUT, that being said, I'll offer my own assumptions! Wouldn't the #1 seed get the next lowest seed that survives? I think that will be the Sharks w/the #5. Tough team, but better than facing the Good-Squad that is the Preds right now. f*** the Preds and their tactics, I hope that series ends in 5 to shut them the hell up.

Hello boys/girls!!! THIS is going to be a tough one, but I have confidence.. as should everyone else. If we can withstand the inevitable onslaught that is the first 10 minutes in the Saddledome, I love our chances! The Flames, although touted to have that extra "skill" this year, just don't seem to have any edge left. Which player leaving had the biggest effect on that, anyone? Bertuzzi coming back gives us yet another strong force that drives the net. He can be a difference maker (if he plays), great hands in close as well. The Flames will actually relish playing against him, as I've read over on CalgaryPuck. They loathe this man, and it will rile them up. Hopefully to the point of taking needlesss penalties ad nauseum like the first two games. I think we'll prevail... the Flames goose is possibly cooked if we take this one, so don't take your foot off the accelerator boys, sock it to em!! Wings: 5 (Lang, Flip, Schneider, Mule X 2) Flames: 3 (Hale, Phaneuf, Tanguay [note absence of Iggy.. again]) -
Jiggy = voice of Calgarian Wisdom! Thanks for the compliments, we really haven't dominated a team like this all year either! Even TSN is suggesting that Playfair get the boot in favor of Sutter for the duration. Team has plenty of talent, and Jim-Bob doesn't seem to be getting much from the players somehow.
-
Sorry, but this thread seems silly. Kipper has been unFU*KING believable. To put it any other way seems delusional.
-
Keep playing the way we have been and I'm not worried about the Saddledome. I think, like most.. that the first goal is key. Calgary can certain ratchet up their play, but is their best even good enough to beat our mediocre? I'd like the clincher on enemy ice if that's evil enough.
-
Enjoy your comments as always Esteef! I agree.. can't we just enjoy a win or two?
-
I might be the only nutjob who thinks Calgary won't be out for any retribution, but rather to get their game in gear. I know, I know.. some physicality will motivate the troops.. we all saw after the Schneider hit the Wings had some jump.. but really, these aren't the same bruising Flames as last time we met.
-
He seemed fairly chippy last night, but you know.. the BEST part?? Didn't really notice him too much, which means he wasn't f*cking up at all! We'll look for the train to dish out some pain Sunday, as the Flames are going to be looking to start some s*** because of Mr. Cleary. *Edit: Mysterious double post!

Forgot they're on! Thanks! Tired of watching Devils/Lightning
-
I meant with his knee/groin/hip whatever area. You're right, tis nuttin.
-
They don't look pissed or anything, the Flames (right now) look like an 8th seed
-
Dom looked awkward going down after that wrap-around attempt.
