Ahh... it's all good folks, good natured trash talk.. it'll only get worse today. I was perusing www.calgaryherald.com for some local sports talk, and the thing that cracks me up the most-- the place where they're getting all this Hasek stuff is the forgettable "flop" that last game in Calgary. They will not stop talking about it - whatever, doesn't matter now.

1270AM on the way home mentioned that Bert did not practice for the second day in a row, but is expected to be available Thursday. For whatever Tony Ortiz's update is worth.

damn, I missed that one! Who knows if Mickey and Ken Daniels are secret members of LGW.com..

me too, helluva player.

What line is Langkow on for the Flames.. I know he's speedy, but he always seems a step ahead of the Wings when he's on the ice. Not very relevant but Draper while a "dark horse" per se, but we'll need him to be at his best I believe.

well, we should just take care of business in 4 then. We'll be riding high on the momentum the Pain Train is going to bring, just don't be worried folks.. Phaneuf? Regehr? fuggedaboutit!! We have the Pain Train!

All the best really.. it should be an excellent series by all accounts. Flames aren't really what they were back then, but neither are we. I just remember the games this season being quite entertaining. Hell, this is much more of a "rivalry" than our inner-division Pred-boys in my opinion.

Ahh.. always taking the "lesser" status of the Central as the reason we'll lose, I love it!! Perhaps they didn't notice that we're a fine team against the rest of the league as well. I know I'm overgeneralizing here, and a serious homer.. but with the CenterIce package, I saw a LOT of hockey, and I think we match up well with anyone, either conference.

If it's "Team 2" CBC announcers I'll probably tune in there! His name escapes me, but he did a lot of play-by-play for the NHL 05, NHL 06, EA series. Maybe used to be the Canucks regular guy? He rocks. Very dramatic.

This my only upset pick in the first round as well. I say the Sharks in five. Vokoun is what it will come down to, and I don't have much faith in him. I'd like their chances with Mason in net more. As far as forwards go, it's a wash, both greatly skilled.. but I think the Sharks have a few less banged up bodies out there. Sharks lose game one, then 4 straight to advance.

Welcome aboard crazy hockey fans from everywhere!! I think I forgot how nerve-wracking and exciting this time of year is. I can't believe it's only Monday-- I can't freaking wait until the first games are on TV Wednesday night!!

Wow, this is one gorgeous screensaver for the playoffs! Thanks a million!

Coaching - Detroit >>>> Calgary -Jim Playfair? Goaltending - Detroit=Calgary -The best goalie matchup in either conference. Offense - Detroit > Calgary -regular season is gone.. I like our offense much better with Zetterberg coming back, in whatever capacity he's limited to. He'll only get better as the games go one I believe. Defense - Detroit>Calgary (one >, remember Kronwall is gone) Powerplay - Detroit << Calgary -I'll give this two to the Flames, our PP is atrocious lately, and most of the season too. With Lilja out there mugging people too, the PK team is going to have to be at their best. Penalty Kill - Detroit>Calgary -agreed!

<---- PainTrain on left.

Let's go Dallas, Let's go Dallas!

Alright alright, that's one too many references.. Chicago scores within the first damned minute.

I really wouldn't worry about Lids, she pisses me off writing this stuff. Call me crazy, I read "big ol' DOOB

Comes down to this: Fans pay $$ to attend a sporting event, as disrespectful as it seems to you, it's their dime, so they can do whatever the hell they want when in attendance. before I get flamed I would NEVER boo poor Feddy.

Calder is just a hard working dude, not really "physical" per se. Yeah yeah, he did check that dude off the puck and score last game as a result.. but Bertuzzi is VERY physical. Love what both of them bring, but imagine Pavel signing for $5.5-$6M, someone will have to go. I know Bobbert's $3.9M will be gone, and the cap will rise slightly.. but .. Hopefully Kenny can work his mojo and retain all three!!

Ahh.. the Flames. I guess defensively they've fallen off quite a bit, but I believe they've actually outscored the Wings goal-wise by quite a wide margin. Oh well, here's hoping that our series doesn't start til the 12th, next Thursday-- give Mr. Zetterberg another day to recover. Playing in that Saddledome is a ***** though. Kipper is outstanding yes, but earlier in the year when I had the CenterIce package I saw some glaringly poor games from him, maybe he's got more chinks in the armor than years past. No matter.. I have a feeling that our goaltender could be a HUGE factor in the playoffs. How come nobody brings that up?

Ditto.. and... READ SIG.

You bet yer ass it would.. they'll be flying all over the ice. We oughta be careful of injury in these two.

I think the Wings come out lackluster in the first (big surprise), and fall behind 3-1. They kill 2 consecutive powerplays, including a 5 on 3, only to succumb to the Hawks 3rd straight PP. Poor Oz is hung out to dry with Schneider's ineffectual play/grab/hooking/resemblance of a pylon. The Pain Train has a good chat with Schneids during intermission though, teaching him some of the tough tactics they are forced to learn as wee-swedes growing up. Schneids comes out with a renewed ferocity in the 2nd, and on (yet another) PK, he levels some random Hawk forward who has the balls to try and cycle down low in the newer-meaner Schneider corner.. Mule, sensing this tenacity races towards center-ice, taking a perfect tape-to-tape pass .. races in alone on the Bulin Wall and roofs one. This IGNITES the Wings faithful in Chi-Town, and the Wings never look back.. Pummelling the Hawks into submission the rest of the way, scoring 7 consecutive goals and routing them 8-3.

You're baffled? Who knows how many posters here are 13-17 years old and know f***-all about hockey.. with a site this large, I'm not baffled in the least. It does, however, take a certain degree of patience to ignore all the ignoramouses here.
