yeah with emery not really doing anything, and sadly a talented goalie kolzig having no defensive support here in washington I would go for that trade.

I think this is very interesting. I strongly believe that being tested day in and day out by the central could def benefit us for being tested in the playoffs. It will also fuel stronger rivalries once again now that maybe the hawks are clearly becoming more of a force. The third thought is finally the excuse of us being in an easy division year in and year out will cease and people will realize the wings are good given an easy or tough division

another big issue is the lack of sustained pressure we've been able to create....almost zero since the beginning of the game

so its a little more work for our defense... most people on these forums claim we have insane depth on D and dont need changes, I agree but they need to work a little harder, the preds have too much time in our end anyway in this game so far
