I purchased a new jersey this weekend at the Capitals game, and as a fan I love them. Granted they have problems for the players and I believe Reebok is on top of that, but as a fan I notice the small things that make them wearable in everyday life. I also think they look fine on the hockey players, whether the team jersey is nice or not, thats the team's problem in their logo design. 1. The jersey fits nicely and I can wear it as an everyday piece of clothing now without feeling like I have some blanket or giant shirt on. 2. The sleeves have the cut offs so you can roll them up. I am sorry but nothing annoyed me more than how fast the sleeves would roll down on the older jerseys when it was hot out, and you would be left with a big baggy jersey that not only looks weird, but cant go short sleeved. 3. I realize this is not "old time" hockey anymore, and with Reebok working on the problems for the jersey I think much will be mended. In conclusion, I am going against what most of you on here have stated and now some analysts are saying as a bad move, from the fan's perspective, the jerseys look good, feel good, and dont make me look like an idiot with a skirt on. sorry had to get that out there

The issue wasnt buying smaller or biggeer. The build of the jersey was just baggy. I agree bettman's skills at doing the right thing is probably off, but separate that with the issues of the jersey. Reebok has stated it has contacted players to get feedback and is working on this issue. Imagine if all the changes in the world, had some problems and instead of just moving forward and fixing them, we abandoned it all together and gave up so quickly. Its been a whole 2 weeks of the season.

I do believe the ones at Verizon Center are probably a little more expensive but when you calculate in shipping and wait time, I think its better to get one there. I have no complaints about mine, it was already customized to Ovechkin, but at the Verizon Center if you have tickets for the game they have stands to customize it for you as well. I think most replicas are running anywhere between 160-190 anywhere you go. The verizon center just makes it easier. If youre coming in January, which game are going to be going to? Offsides, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I do agree with you that most of them are ugly, and I will judge when my Yzerman one comes in at how it compares to the older red wings one. But speaking solely from a fan not wearing a bag and just having something more comfortable on, the new jerseys win in my book far and away.
