As far as homer goes as mentioned many times before, the visor wouldnt have helped his injury from the angle it came into his face, and as some members reported, it would have actually hurt him to have a visor, possibly knocking the stick causing more damage to his eye

it really is a shame, and as far as my situation id probably try to go as many games as possible but it just doesnt work being in DC. I almost thought about taking the train for a game but the logistics are too extreme. I attend what red wings games I can when they come out here (Last year vs Wash, this year vs Philly) but i know that doesnt help the wings in any way

calder would be better on a line with flip and franzen, put big bert up there to give the sharpshooters some room

well last time they skated in lines at practice, we saw calder on the first line replacing homer, and low and behold he played 1st line during the first game against SJ. Any sign that flip can be a 2nd line center is fantastic news!

This is truly sad, because growing up and for the short period of time i actually lived in Michigan, the red wings were the end all be all of hockey. I loved them and loved the hype they created around town. To see this kind of atmosphere filling the arena is truly sad. I wanna say it might have to do with the economy, but what are all these corporate seats i always hear you guys talking about on here. Has the joe really become a whoring ground for companies to send employees that dont even enjoy hockey? If so that is truly sad, and im hoping one day that the joe can look like the saddledome as far as noise and fans...
