they play Michigan better than most teams in the CCHA....look at their record the past 4 or 5 years and they are pretty even with what is supposed to be the elite team in the conference...

his problem is he takes all the opportunites to make open ice checks which is where he usually hurts himself. he just needs to stay away from those.

bench Calder! I honestly haven't seen him do anything. Either that or Lang. Where is the fire that Calder had when he first got to Detroit. We need that guy, not the one we've seen of late!

the difference between Sakic and Yzey is that he has been relatively injury free. Just imagine how many more points Stevey would have with two good knees and one less "career ending knee surgery" to come back from. Either way, Joe Sakic is the only Av I respected during the big rivalry days. It's one of those things where I hate to see him pass yzey on the record charts but if he does it, he fully deserves it.

I'd like to see Scott Stevens come out of retirement just to lay an open ice hit on Tootoo the way he laid out Kariya a couple years ago when Jersey won the cup.

I FINALLY got my first Red Wings jersey, and there was no decision that had to be made who's name it would be. Yzerman has been my favorite player since I started watching hockey when i was 8 years old back in 1988.

I like Schneider. He is a hard worker, and one guy that can flat out Rip a slap shot. He has a career high in assists this year and I think he has been a key part of the power play. All that being said, He is another aging player that probably is past his prime and shouldn't make more money than he is already making. If he really wants to stay in Detroit he will take a little less, otherwise, thanks for the time played here, best of luck to him.

yeah, bad ownership.... It would be great to see another team in Michigan, but Sault St. Marie just isn't big enough. Infact if the whole U.P. was in Sault St. Marie, it probably still wouldnt be big enough... Winnipeg Portland, Maine or Oregon Omaha Nebraska Sioux Falls, SD Another team in Minnesota...they are the twin cities...have two teams, I mean they are "the state of hockey"!!!!

that doesnt prove anything though, he is on basically the best defensive team in the league. Put him in goal for the Rangers or a team without a good defense and he would be just another "eh" goalie in that case we should dump half the defensemen because they dont have 5 goals....think about what you say...then say it!

Hasek is too old....he needs a walker out there! He goes down to his knees or his back and its a sure bet he isnt getting up until his hearing aid picks up a whistle or the play is down in the other zone.

edit: really though, that was an uncalled for post. Dom has been good despite his antics. Dom has been good for a "42 year old goalie"....theres a difference! He isn't GOOD anymore. He is average.
