I know Osgood hasn't played his best this season, but I completely agree with him. He needs to get more starts than he is getting to get/stay in rhythm. If Howard starts to fail and then they bring in Osgood to take over and he is cold they risk missing the playoffs for sure.

unfortunately both times I've seen it, was when another team had won. Last year, I was on the ice during the penguins celebration. (I work with a tv station in MI) The other time was up at Ferris when Kunitz brought it after winning with the Ducks. I got a picture with it then since I am a Ferris grad.

just watched him play last night. He looked ok, but not anywhere near ready for NHL. People need to give it a rest on Tatar. HE IS NOT COMING UP TO DETROIT!

I saw him at practice on Monday. He looks great. I think at this point it's just being cautious. No need to push him back at this point. As long as they are staying in contention. Also, saw Lilja and Williams on the ice skating full speed, participating in drills. Nice to see Lilja on the ice. Wish he could come back soon. If ever.

nope! He needs a few more shutouts than one. Also, you should be the leader in at least ONE category of Goalie statistics to win Vezina. Not saying he is awful. Just saying there is no way he will win Vezina. High hopes though. That's good...I guess?

I went to Ferris and watched him play for 3 years. Rooted for him all that time and even when he was with Anaheim. He was a dick on the ice after they won the cup against us last year. Tried to get him for an interview and he snubbed us. I guess its kind of stupid that I hold that against him, but whatever. It helps me to hate him for being on the penguins and beating us.

that is his job actually. To stand in front of the net and score goals. The players intentionally shoot to a certain spot in hopes of Homer's deflection. I'm completely with Miller Brew on this argument. You are saying that Homer because most of his goals are deflection goals should make less money than other 20-30 goal scorers purely on the basis that he doesn't shoot the puck, but deflects it. That, my friend is ridonkulous! If anything after this year, he will make the same or more than last. Unless of course he goes on a cold streak the rest of the season.

I am the same when I go. I go for the game, but we are the die-hard hockey fans that are there for hockey. What I think they are trying to say is get people in the seats by providing more entertainment before the game, during intermissions, tv breaks, etc.... to get people buying tickets again. The average fan is looking for a fun time. If they just wanted to watch hockey they could stay on their couch and do that. What they need is for that average fan to want to come because something exciting and fun is available to see while attending a game.

Just my opinion, and I don't know if anyone else has said this, but I honestly think the team is going to be very much the same as this year. I don't think they will resign Bert, unless he really steps it up soon. I have my doubts about Maltby coming back, but I could totally see Holland out of loyalty signing him. (yes I know loyalty isn't going to win games) Homer will likely be back with the year he is having, unless he just completely tanks. Eaves and Miller will probably be back at a cheap rate. The only thing I really see happening is maybe signing one 2nd line forward with the space from Bertuzzi. Maybe getting a vetern D-man for around what Lilja was making. Howard has impressed me (can't believe I am saying that) so far this year, so he will probably be #1 next year with Ozzie in his last year.

I think IF they add a goalie, it will likely be Biron. That is if DiPietro can stay healthy for more than 2 games.

I love that they listed player of the year from 00-09 and Lids wasn't there once. I think it shows that even though he isn't a player that sticks out because of his scoring(probably why each player of the year was selected) everyone knows he is one of the most dominant players ever and very deserving of the acknowledgement.
