you know by saying that, Holland will now sign him. It just always seems to work that way. But honestly, I think it will either be Conklin as backup (if he decides to stay) or Jimmy. Jimmy is probably the cheapest option...not that I am at all keen on him. (watch him in GR a lot...good, but not great)

I couldn't agree more. The annoying thing is the Blackhawks are now becoming the Penguins. Lets be the worst team in the league for a bunch of years, get a bunch of #1 picks and that will change things around! How many #1 picks have the Wings had in the past 18 seasons? Anyone? I just can't stand the fact that the pens are only good because the WERE horrible. Take away their number 1 picks and what do they have. No Crosbitch, no Malktard, no Fleury.....there is no way the make the playoffs without those three. I do think management now is doing a great job adding players, but honestly, no way they make the playoffs without their number one picks.

Ozzie is the best goalie we are going to get. as long as there is a cap we won't be spending 6+ mill a year on goalies. Stack up the D and you can use a 1.5 mil goalie or less every year. And I think they have proven that. No doubt he isn't the best goalie in the league, but he is one of the best in the league come playoff time and he is by far the best for the price. I think he gets a lot of unfair blame for goals. Not saying he doesn't give up soft goals because we all know he does, but he makes magnificent saves at big moments. Otherwise they wouldn't have even been in the finals...or even the conference finals. Ozzie will most likely be our 1A goalie unless for some reason Jimmy Howard comes and impresses(not at all likely since he doesn't even impress in GR.) I think it will be the same thing as this past season where he splits time pretty close to 50/50 which I think is fine. I think Ozzie has earned Babcocks confidence much more this season than last. He didn't need to be spectacular last post season, but he stood on his head quite a bit to keep the Wings in games this post season.

well, its a HUGE deal when a woman can captain a team to a stanley cup! Sindey MAY want to get her upper lip and her chin waxed though...the rat stache on a woman just doesn't look so good.

OURSELVES implies you are part of the Detroit Red Wings team. Please identify yourself. The wings sucked it up big time. Slow skating, lazy passes, constant dump ins, not driving the net, sloppy D, way too many turnovers directly resulting in odd man rushes or flat out break aways. The only good thing I saw was Ozzie coming up with a few huge saves on breakaways. THEY need to change something quick, or wake the "F" up and start playing like the actuallly want to win. Especially Hossa. Didn't he come to Detroit to WIN a cup? I realize he plays hard, but so do Crosbitch and Malktard and they are finding ways to contribute. Not giving anything to them, I hate them both, but they are playing more like a team destined to win a cup, not the Wings. Step The F**K up and PLAY WINGS!!!!
