I don't see this as forcing out. I see it as the Wings covering their own butts for if Howard goes down again or if Ozzie cannot come back. Force out would be if Ozzie was healthy and they did this. Ozzie's body crapped out on him this year, that is what would be forcing him out, not this move.

Weak "Hook" on Raffi. Nice to see Joey Mac strong early. This is MacDonald's tryout for next year. If Ozzie retires I believe he will be in the mix to be the back-up in Detroit next year. How he fares over the next 2 months will show if he gets that consideration.

I'm not blaming Howard on any of those goals...well maybe the second one. But it is clearly not his night tonight. TIme to put in Mac and let Howie rest for the back to back games this weekend.

Man Eaves has been the man! Glad to see him getting back to where he was before the early injuries in his career de-railed him. He could be a solid 20 goal scorer with great d ability for years to come. He is still only 25 or 26.

No offense at all to Eaves who is playing well and deserves it. But... I thought injury bug was over and now a guy that was in the scratch rotation at the beginning of the year is on our 2nd line...I hate injuries.

Man...can we cover anybody in our own zone tonight?

Lidstrom was awesome again tonight. Eaves played his best game as a Wing - which is saying something since he has had many good games. Hudler - Keep Going Mursak - I was very impressed by your play tonight - keep it up Salei - with the exception of one or 2 plays you were flawless today - best game as a Wing But the best part of the night was: Murphy "II've got a soft spot for the dog.
