Ozzie has played very well. Those damn boards are lively as hell, that goal was one that nobody could have saved. We looked sloPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPy. too many penalties and not enough concentration. Ozzie and the PK kept the team in the game that period. Now lets change the momentum next period.

    Grigorenko update

Honestly I 100% have my fingers crossed that he decides its okay to be in the AHL. I apologize for this but I don't remember where I read this but I remember reading that he was surprised at the level of play in the AHL, and felt it was more competitive than Russia. So maybe he will stay?

Lids and Zetts questionable for thursdays game ?

With Z, Franzenstein and Sammy out they would need to call up a forward to have 12 on thursday...

    Why isnt Osgood starting

Nobody should read too far into this. Every goaltender has hot and cold streaks. It is a matter of Ozzie being hot and Dom being a little cold. Babcockles just wants to get 3 out of 4 points to end this road trip and he probably feels that on a west coast road trip early in the season its important to win these match-ups. Oz has played like a beast lately and Babcock wants to ride that hot streak before it dies down (we all know Oz can be a bit streaky), and Dom has been a bit cold, and maybe he thinks Ozzie can turn momentum around and steal one how he has been playing so that the team plays better D in front of Dom which will get his confidence back up and get him going. Ozzie playing a few more games than last year is a good thing because Hasek will be more rested come playoff time and that is when we need him most. So no reading into this anymore than riding a hot goalie and trying to turn momentum around, because to be honest the team sucked the last 2 games and was pretty lucky they turned things around in the LA game as well.

10/15 GDT: Anaheim Ducks 6, Red Wings 3

I didn't make it past the 1st intermission since I had a long day yesterday. Slept poorly the night before was up at 7 and on campus from 10-9 so I was exhausted and I passed out during 1st intermission. From what I saw the Wings played a sloppy game and the refs called everything they could. With tired legs from the night before, and a fresh and pissed off Ducks team desperate for a win, I'll chalk this one up to a typical road loss and focus on the sharks game for thursday. As long as we get 3 points out of the next 2 road games I's day that 5 out of 8 on the road is not a bad deal.

It actually is a complete opposite world in Buffalo now, I am the one who is wearing a Hasek jersey while everyone else is saying how they dislike him... EDIT: Picked up the Hasek Senators jersey at the Great Skate tent sale for $30

Hey Dom's change in attitude plus your defense of Dom is what changed my opinion on him 100% I don't remember if you recall when I was an anti-Dom kinda guy, where as now I like him very much and love the Hasek-Ozzie tandem in net even more...

I think that Bernier should go back to Juniors to finish the season after the 9 games or whatever it is. He is inconsistent and they don't want to kill his confidence, he is going to be a great goalie, you can just tell

Well if Grigs is willing to stay in GR than Downey's job may be safe especially with Grigs' stats so far through 3 games he has 0 points. Where as other first time North Americans like Ryno have 3 points through 3 games... And P.S. Hudles would score more if he had long hair again like on the from of the Grifs web page...

They need something to love in L.A. it might as well be him. I have a feeling they will return him to Juniors this year though.
