These teams match up well and it is going to be an awesome series, I am pulling for Ottawa, but I think they may come up short.

It is more about how I feel that Zetterberg is a bigger influece then Selanne, and if I didn't make that clear in the first post im clarifying it now. Trying to specifically talk about comparing only these 2 players would get lost in the other topics, and I just wanted to see how other people felt Z compares to Selanne, if you don't think it is a valid enough to warrent its own thread just don't reply, or if you want to even merge it into another one, I just wanted to talk specifics on these 2 players.

THe way I see it the teams are pretty even but I think the WIngs are a bit better... We have better team defense, and the checking lines are equally talented but Draper and Maltby have so much playoff experience that I think that it gives them an edge, and scoring is also pretty much even. I think that Dom is a better goalie than Giguere, as well

I agree I took his goals divided by 63 games played and multiplied by 82, same with assists, he would have had a better +/- then +26 too but I was doing things the unspeculative way

amazing the difference homer makes. People think all he does is sit in front of the goalie, but he doesn't allow the goalie to cover rebounds or the defence to clear it, and he digs into the corners trying to get the rebounds back. He brings so much to the PP, and its only a matter of time we get one or two PP goals

Great Article... Puckloo, I admited my fault before Oz told me too... I will never be a huge Hasek fan but I respect him and am glad he is a Wing.

He has been really good this year in the playoffs. I personally think that if Kenny had waited till after the playoffs to bring him back he wouldn't be playing this well. The team commited to him, even with his lack of playoff success and gave him star player money. In turn he felt obligated to earn that money, and so far he has. Good move re-signing Syuk before the playoffs Kenny!!!

I love Lebda but Quincey has been solid so I'm in no rush to have him back if he isn't ready. Don't get me wrong the day he is ready to play I'll be ecstatic but if he isn't healthy Quincey is a good 6th Defenceman.

I think that this definatly spells the end of Bad Ass Bob in a Wings uni. He has been cold all playoffs, and above that has shown little effort. I think that Filpulla will get more playing time and that he will ultimatly be the 2nd line center next year. Lang will not be re-signed next season, his money went into Datsyuk's pocket, and then Kopecky will be inserted into the every day line-up. Re-siging Bert is a much higher priority than Lang, and is a much better use of $$. I appreciate all he has done for us and hope that he finds his touch before the playoffs are over, but regardless, I think no matter what his days as a wing are over after the season
