I love that in the first Gretzky-less year the Coyotes get a good coach in Tippet and finally make the playoffs in decisive manner.

If Howard plays like he did today throughout the playoffs. I am not worried at all.

I shave the day after the Wings last regular season game (so tomorrow morning) Then I do not shave again until the playoffs are over, or if there is a special occasion that I NEED to be clean shaven for.

It took less than an hour. I was just thinking to myself. about 20 minutes ago "With how many Wings fans believe in the 'NHL conspiracy against us' I wonder how crazy it will be here if the Wings lose to the Coyotes." Now I thought that because every game has bad calls. It just happens. But since the NHL owns the Coyotes people are going to go crazy over every single one. Granted in jest when I realized who we were playing, I said we were playing the Phoenix Bettmans. But it was in jest. This thread was 100% will Bettman fix the series and serious. I agree. He is one of my favorite sports broadcasters ever. Fun to watch and really funny, especially when he isn't trying to be.

I think they will get a short term lease at the Joe until a new arena goes up. If they decide to renovate the joe...then it could be an issue.

Ozzie wasn't having that bad of a season when Howard took over. It was mediocor at best, and Howard really pulled away and rolled with it when he got the chance. Ozzie has never been a backup goalie really...it has been a hard adjustment from going from playing every game to playing once a month.

Yesterday... Howard 17 saves on 21 shots...lost the game...4-3...only got a point because of miraculous goal by Pavs at the end. Today... Ozzie 21 saves on 25 shots...lost the game...4-3...faced tons of odd man rushes... Yesterday Howard...playing with a rested team at home Today Ozzie...Playing with a tired team on the road... Looks like they both sucked to me...looks like the team played flat and uninspired in both games to me... Yet nobody cares Howard sucked yesterday...But people are saying that Ozzie "isn't supporting this team" or "isn't putting in a good effort" or "shouldn't be back next year" How about as a team they put forth minimal effort 2 nights in a row, and faced teams that wanted to win more and showed it. How about both goalies had bad games? And the team had bad games? Before chastising Ozzie for today, look at Howie's stats yesterday...with the rested team...at home...then look at Ozzie's stats today...(though not good he doesn't deserve the horse s*** people throw at him) Support both goaltenders...they are both very talented. Howard is 26, Ozzie is 37. Its a changing of the guard, which is a well timed. But without Ozzie, Howard wouldn't be as good as Howard is this season. Keep that in mind folks. Ozzie is to Howard what Vernon was to Ozzie.

I would love to have Hudler back next season. Also I think that Lidstrom would take a paycut, but people expect him to take a cut to 3.5 million... Its a home town discount...not a home town clearence sale...I'd expect closer to a 5 million dollar salary

Possible yes...probable no However to see Detroit finish in the top 3 seeds after this drama filled season would be pretty awesome. RIT just beat UNH and is going to the Frozen 4! We have only been D1 for 5 years. And this is just our 3rd year eligible for tournament play. 2 Upsets gets us to the frozen four, which is the farthest anyone from the Atlantic Conference has ever gotten. If they stick to their D-first take offense as it comes game plan anything is possible with our goalie DeMichiel in net!

I had wanted Cornell to lose, but then when NH beat them so badly, I'm now a little scared of them for tonight's game. Watching Miami v Alabama Huntsville right now. Miami is up 1-0. I think that they could win the tournament

Haven't seen Wong in particular. But Quinnipac has played against RIT since we (RIT) switched to D1 4 years ago. Quinnipac has a good program and a great hockey team usually. So I will take a guy having success from the school seriously. However, Quinnipac is also no Michigan St, Michigan, Minnesota, Boston College, etc. So I expect him to have similar success as the RIT veteran in the AHL, Steve Pinizotto of the Hershey Bears (Entry Level Contract with the Capitals), that is a mildly successful AHL player that is mostly a career AHL prospect. Disliking Crosby for his immaturity and his whine-fests doesn't make him a bad hockey player. In fact he is one of the best. That is what makes it so damn frustrating to me to see him always be such a poor sport. To call out Crosby for his immaturity and his constant dribble that although he is so talented detracts from people's ability to truly respect him as a player is what I think most people are attempting to do. That is what I do. I applauded Howard for sticking up for Zetterberg, and called out Crysby for his dribble claiming Howard didn't belong there. The people calling for Crosby to be give Steve Moore treatment, and the posts of other people baiting those intense reactions are what makes many things hard to go through. To Opie - I agree that there is more of that baiting and over the top reactions lately. EDIT: Edited to clear up my point.

My Coyotes theory is that there is no conspiracy, Gretzky was a s***ty coach, Tippet is a good coach. Also Wings Yotes would be a fun match-up though
