For an Isles fan it would not be boring...no. But they played the trap like its their business, which to me is pretty boring. If it werent for the WIngs coughing up any puck on their sticks it would have just been trap trap trap.

Alright my parting thoughts because this GDT is getting viscious fast. #1 Neither goalie should be judged by what they did tonight with the piss poor effort by the team in front of them tonight. #2 Anyone who expected Ozzie to come in that cold and turn things around when the team did nothing to play better defensively then they had for the past 30 minutes is crazy. #3 Zetterberg Datsyuk Lidstrom and Rafalski were a huge let down tonight #4 where as LIds at least brings defense to the equation Rafalski's 1 goal is unacceptable for a defenseman that is weak on defense and is supposed to make up for it with offense #5 Not a single player looked decent today. Nobody. #6 The Islanders play an incredibly boring style of hockey And with that I am done for the night.

Osgood let in goals that were caused by turnovers and terrible defense. This game was on the entire team. Ozzie didn;t play well but neither did Howard or the 18 players in front of either of them. And guess what...Larsson is so good they have been playing Pearce in front of him because his GAA went up almost 0.5 in the last few weeks. SO yeah a goalie that is struggling in the AHL is definitely going to replace a guy that has not even really been struggling in the NHL, has just been outplayed by another guy.

Yup and Howard looked like a ******* Veznia winner out there tonight. In Howard's worst game in over 2 months due to piss poor play in front of him lets expect the goalie who hasn't seen game action in 10 games save the day when the team played equally s***ty in front of him. By your logic not only should we waive Ozzie and pick up Cloutier we should waive Howard to and pick up Jocelyn Thibault. Thats the solution, the whole team played like s*** and lets blame it on Osgood. Datsyuk Zetterberg and Bert turned the puck over for 60 minutes...s*** Ozzie's fault Rafalski had his feet in cement and tried to skate...Ozzie's fault. Anyone trying to pin Ozzie to a poor performance tonight is giving 19 other players a free pass that don't deserve it and claiming Ozzie is through because they hate him. 20 players played like s*** tonight, no one player worse than the other. Let Ozzie play a game with a team in front of him for 60 minutes before you claim he is Dan Cloutier 2.0

You are seriously going to judge him off half a game coming in cold for his first game in 10 games where the defense has been ECHL caliber and the offense possibly even worse. Howard was just as bad this game as Osgood. Does that mean he doesn't deserve to start anymore and that the Wings now have no goaltender. No it means that this was a terrible game by everyone on the Wings. The offense the defense both goalies... they all played poorly. Ozzie deserves an actual chance before you all write him off as a has been.

Meech deflects it in with his foot... If the Wings didn't have bad luck they would have no luck at all this year. I bet somebody is injured by tomorrow afternoon too.

Ozzie's 2nd goal was essentialy the same as Howard's 1st goal... It was a deflection from a guy out front nobody was protecting...Yes his first goal was weak, but Howards 2nd goal was also pretty weak, So they both let in 1 weak goal and both have struggled through terrible turnovers. Ozzie also hasn't played in 10 games and is thrown into the worst Wings defensive showing in a long time and people expect him to be sharp...go ******* figure that he isnt. Ozzie deserves the Carolina game before people say "Ozzie sucks, he is Osbad." Judging Ozzie on this game makes even less sense than judging Howard on this game. Both had the same terrible defense and offense in front of them...but one was cold and has barely seen a legitimate hockey game in 2 months. Anyone that is judging Ozzie on this game and claiming it shows what he has just doesn't like him.

Apparently the Wings don't think its essential to keep people out from in front of either goalie.... Poor Howie...Poor Ozzie...

Agreed. The Wings look like they think its an exhibition game to practice passes where if they are picked off no big deal...

What I find crazy is that Ozzie ALWAYS lifts his stik off the ice when he goes down. THat is like basic goalie school. Keep the stick down on the ice over the 5hole when going down...

Its funny to go from seeing Howard in net to seeing Osgood in net. The difference in size is crazy. Ozzie looks extra tiny tonight. Bad goal to let in there by Ozzie too. His 5 hole was gaping large.

While I do agree with you that we need more from those players, the lack of a consistent supporting cast means that teams can put 100% defensive focus on those players and not worry about giving up goals to other lines, which has impacted their slow start off years to where the hell have you gone seasons.

I disagree. He looks a little out of position, but hasn't seen game action in 10 games. He has made a nice save already though.

I like Raffi, but 6 million is too much for him. When his contract is up I would rather see Pyett be able to take over his job...Pyett is Rafalski Jr. (good offense doesn't know what defense is)

Terrible period. Helm is the only person I thought played well. Whole team looked like s***. Howard included, he made some great saves but is fighting the puck and looks shaky. I think it might be time to Ozzie it up against the Canes.

First scoring opportunity of the game... This is a joke Wings. THey play like crap against Anaheim and the Islanders but beat Colorado, LA and Phoenix... DO they just not put their heads into these games?

It may be impossible to have more turnovers...so less turnovers shouldnt be hard to do

Wings defense and Jimmy Howard both look like crap tonight... Expect to see Ozzie against the Canes if Howie doesn't start reading the play better
