I think it depends on Ville Leino's play for the rest of the time. If he starts to produce its a choice between May and Miller, and I pick Miller to stay. If Leino continues to struggle he could be sent back to GR and then Eaves, May Miller would all stay.

Meech was pretty terrible last night versus the Devils. Kindl had more ice time than him, and in my opinion looked better too. Once Rafalski is back I'd like to see Kindl stay up until Kronner is back, leaving Meech back at 7th defenceman.

After going to a shootout the night before I would rather have the more rested goalie in.

Same article says Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Leino-Cleary-Bertuzzi will be the first two lines. Also I am really loving that Miller has avoided the rotating press box day that Eaves, May and Maltby have been subject to. Makes me think he is going to stay.

It will probably only be one of them. With a full healthy roster the Wings will have to move either May, Leino, Miller, Eaves or Abdelkader back to Grand Rapids. I doubt it would be Leino. Its a given to me that Abdelkader goes back down since he is waiver exempt. So you can only keep two of May Miller and Eaves, one needs to go to Grand Rapids...all need to pass through waivers...none of them will in my opinion.

I'm not sure how much cap the Wings will realistically have next year. Realistically they may have enough to sign one player to a bigger contract and fill the other two spots by bringing back guys like Eaves, Miller and May. This is assuming the cap goes down though, which I think it will.

The Hawks and Wings are set up similarly except we dont pay 5 million dollars on a mediocore goaltender...and our 7 million dollar defenceman is actually well rounded... Lidstrom>Campbell but Keith>Rafalski Really the only difference in set up is the terrible contracts to Campbell and Huet...

Except right now, if they stay as bad as they have been then the first of those picks would be either Tyler Seguin or Taylor Hall... EDIT: It is a smart move to get a good 1st rounder to make up for the 2 you miss out on the next two years though, especially for a guy with no future on that team. Not a bad move at all by Burke, in fact a very good one...just doesn't negate the s***ty move of all those picks for Kessel when he could have signed Kessel to an offer sheet for less picks.

I'm not as far back as you but am not where most are either. I am very pleased to see Howard playing well, but he has for huge swings at a time in the past, followed by huge swings of bad play. If by the end of the calender year (2009) he is still playing this well I'll eat a double serving until then, I;m just on the appetizer.

Leino with Pavel will be magic. Wings 5: Leino, Datsyuk, Miller, Helm, Kindl Oilers 2: Penner, gagner
