I will partake until I start my rotations for Physician Assistant school at the end of May. Then I shave and switch to the bracelets. Went clean shaven today as my tradition is always the day after the playoffs - Shave. I had a nice trimmed beard going but couldn't bring myself to okay trimming instead of starting from scratch.

Hudler is the only person on planet earth that can open his mouth larger than Shane Doan. I think this is a photoshop opportunity.

I would be okay with it if he can prove he is healthy. I think it hurt us this year to be shuffling back and forth the back-up goalie mobile due to injuries.

I'd rather play Phoenix because Nashville has had our number all season.

After all those horse s*** penalties last period they let that go. These are possibly the worst refs I have seen in a long time. Who are they?

After 30 seconds of 5 on 5 I jokingly thought "Hey a penalty is overdue" then they called one. These refs are terrible.

What a BS penalty call. North-South hit. Guys head was down. 2 minute charging or roughing maybe. 5 minutes and a game...no freaking way.

Too early to say. But the Wings have 14 forwards this year. Modano, Draper, Eaves and Miller are all UFAs. They have Mursak and Emmerton both out of options and possibly Ilari and Tatar ready to come up. So My thoughts are no... My guess is Draper is back on a 2-way and spends most of the year in Grand Rapids, Tatar spends his last year in Grand Rapids and Mursak, Emmerton, Ilari and Miller will compete for spots with Eaves almost a shoe in to keep his job. So with the forward depth we have, i say no.

All I have to say is that this game defined why I hate the shootout. I don't think anybody would have been upset with calling that a 4-4 tie. Both teams had their ups and downs for the game. It was fast, fun and entertaining. Neither team deserved to lose it in a frigging shootout.

Tonight's victory was Mike Babcock's 300th behind the bench of the Detroit Red Wings. He joins Jack Adams and Scotty Bowman as the only 3 coaches in Red Wings history to have 300 wins. By the time his new contract is up he very well could be the winningest coach in Red Wings history. Keep up the great work. This man has accomplished almost everything and is still in his '40's. Will be a Hall of Fame member and will go down as one of the best to ever coach the sport.

I wasn't wrong on that point because it wasn't the point I was making... That is an additional point to consider in Babcock's greatness, but my point was solely on Babcock's standing in Detroit Red Wings history. No part of my post was wrong. Yes we are. It is pretty awesome that he is one of 3 to get 300 in 6 seasons also though.

Glen Sather never coached the Detroit Red Wings. Jack Adams is the winningest coach in Red Wings history with 413 wins. Sather won a ton of games...but with Edmonton.

I dunno. D-Mac had some pretty painful looking Charley Horses in his day. I will hold out hope until the MRI is done.

I didn't see Datsyuk's injury. From the looks of Rafalski it could be anywhere from a Charlie Horse to ligament injury. Lets hope for the Charley Horse.

Just got back from the game: Few thoughts. #1 J-Mac played better than I could have dreamed of #2 Hudler is really starting to come around #3 Datsyuk is by far one of the top 3 players in the NHL #4 Salei is terrible #5 Jon Ericsson has earned the crown of Shin-Guard Assassin from Sammy's departure.

Huet is off the cap anyways so it doesn't matter...

Is he better than MacDonald though??? What if Ozzie cannot make it back?

I would pick Conklin up off waivers for until Ozzie is back. He beats MacDonald.

Read that Filppula will only play depending on how he feels after the morning skate. So hopefully he feels good.
