Ozzie won that game period. If Detroit can win Game 3, this will be 5 or less games... if Pittsburgh wins game 2 it will be another 6 or 7 game series. May be obvious but those are my thoughts. Thought that Malkin was by far the best penguin. Once Pavs is back if they can get Pavs to shadow Malkin like Zetterberg is Crosby...it would be all over...lets hope Pavs is back for game 3. Also there will be no suspension to Malkin, nor should there be. Emotions boiled over, and it was entertaining anyways. Plus Perry got the same exact calls in the Ducks game and there was no suspension, so protocal shows that there wont be one. Plus Ducking it up at the end of a game didnt work for Anaheim, why would it for Pittsburgh... My only bias part of this post "Birds of a feather, suck together" Keep it classy Anaheim...I mean Pttsburgh.

Well knowing Maltby for years in the organization now...do you doubt he was yappng at him??? Really the thing I think about the boards is that it is common knowledge that the boards in Detroit are lively and every team knows that. Why not take 30 minutes in practice to rifle pucks off of the boards and see what kind of bounces they give...

My observations tonight: Early on I was a bit upset at the officiating since it was let them play, followed by two bak to back powerplays, but overall it evened out throughout the game. I'm glad it quickly went back to let them play. Faceoffs won this game Imagine how good we will be with Datsyuk back Ozzie let up way too many rebounds, other then that he was great Only thing I was mad at Crosby for was the slash after the game since it was classless and trashy Great game, will be a great series.

Nope Sidney he is quite damn good offensively, but unlike you is awesome defensively too...Zetterberg may not score as often as Sidney Crosby, but he is a much more well rounded player, and sure as hell is still a huge offensive threat. If I had interpreted it correctly I wouldn't have posted it. Just got the wrong impression. Sorry, I misinterpreted the quote. I didn't get that he was saying Z was better then what he usually faces, I thought the not so good offensively part was in reference to Zetterberg. If the comment was a compliment I take what I said back, I just misinterpreted the quote.

Offensively yes, but he was playing shut down defense in both of those series as well. I think that anyoe who thinks the Wings can win long term without him in the line-up is in lala land from last game.

Ansar Kahn said they arent on the ice this morning either. Really I don't think its a bad plan to sit them today. THey won last game without them, and if the Wings win today then game 1 is saturday, this gives them extra rest, otherwise they play for game 6, and then there is off until June 5th...I dunno we'll see

So no...the cap strapped Wings will not be bringing in Ohlund...

Hate to break it to you but so does Detroit. The Wings are going to lose a significant amount of players at the end of this season. That being said, I am more afraid of Pittsburgh then I was last year, and then I was of any other opponent the Wings have faced this year. Honestly if it weren't for Crosby I would like Pittsburgh and be happy for their success, I just can't back that whiny d-bag. Also that being said GO WINGS!!!
