Pathetic Second Period. The game changing moment was the lack of a goal on the second of the back to back powerplays... Anaheim did it that way and then the Wings got the same chance. They failed to score and instead of 1-1 Wings momentum it was 1-0 Ducks momentum. That was a must score PP and they failed. Hopefully a strong third can at least tie this one up for an OT win!!!

Oh the good old hockey game! As I put after almost every win on my twitter... They dazzle us before our eyes. Good win wings. They played hard for the whole game, except for a few hiccups in the second... I don't care if it was interference, so was neidermeyers goal in game 3, lets call it even.

Wings dominated until that PP goal then the Ducklings started to think they have a chance, Wings need to dominate early and score a quick goal to put them in their place.

I originally pushed for Vyacheslav for the Russian heritage in me, but that was a no go...I immediately switched gears to Johan... However she is open to Konstantin...which is close enough to Konstantinov for me!!!

So I keep trying to convince my girlfriend that when we get married and have kids we should name our first son Johan...since I am in fact part swedish...and she is not down with it...I have moved to pushing for it as a middle name...and by damn I will get it... Hell Franzenstein is a Wing for 11 more years...I plan to have a kid that watches hockey by the end of his contract...I will watch the Wings with that son and say "Boy that is the man your middle name is named after...he is a playoff clutchtime hero" And that boy will bubble with pride!

I think that part of Homer's success is the D getting involved with him, creating a worse screen. With Anaheim not engaging him until he is in the play they have effectively neutralized him.

As much as people said it was only Pavs that made Hank better... Pavs looks a lot better with Hank back on his side... They are on a 2-way road of awesomeness.

Franzen is incredibly clutch and always seems to score when he is most needed. He is awesome.

This is why the NHL needs ESPN...everyone with ESPN has ESPN2...if one game carries over, the other goes on the sister network. Especially an 8:00 start to a 10:30 start...that leaves no chance for OT to be settled... NHL should have done our series with one of the east not the Hawks at home same day as the ducks... Poor planning...poor network coverage...if you don't live in ANA or DET you are boned...Because fans of teams are only in the home town... Not even being broadcast on NHL Center Ice (Which I paid out the butt for) to cover the overlap... I am just so pissed that fans need to miss games with the current marketing scheme of the nhl... IMO they need a back up channel to air any overlap...
