After all my talk of a well called game that is a weak call after a lot of what has been let go.

None of that is the case. I think that the game is one where they are letting things slide. I don't mind how the game is being called. The only call I'm upset that they missed is the Perry interference on Ozzie in first period. Its not that I only care whats on the scoresheet. Its that your top scorers need to be on the scoresheet.

Its not that Im not trying to be a homer, im not a homer. The Wings are being outplayed. You can make any excuse that you want, but the long and short is that Anaheim is playing with more energy and the Wings look flat. That is all there is to it. The role players cannot continuously bail the team out. With the exception of Lidstrom none of the big guys are getting on the scoresheet.

Fil, Sammy and Hudler are the only ones making a difference.

Both teams got away with a lot in period one. They are really only calling the ones that they can't ignore.

Ducks have played teh game pretty clean. Wings are being outplayed thats all there is to it. It would be nice if Datsyuk, Hossa and Zetterberg would show up. Helm is the only player I am impressed with today. Also Raffi out is really showing.

Don't really mind that there was no suspension. I mind that Carlyle then tried to fish for a suspension on Kronner by saying he left his feet and drew blood. Last year Trotz, and Therein did it, and this year both Hitchcock and Carlyle have done it. I absolutely hate when coaches bring their dirty laundry to the media to try to get things called in their favor. Babcock responded with a classy move. He says it doesn't matter what I think, it matters what the league thinks and then refuses to talk about those things in the press. Babcock is not only the best, but the classiest coach in the entire league, its a shame he doesn't get the Jack Adams recognition he deserves.

Just watched the TSN Panel discussion and they brought up an interesting point. Hudler had hit Beauchmin the shift before where his stick got up. They addressed that there is the possibility that the hit was a premeditated reaction to that. If that is the case Brown deserves a suspension.

It really peeves me that Carlyle is complaining about the Wings "running the goalie" when the Ducks ran in on Ozzie and scrummed all around him after every stop in play. Yeah Randy, we are the a-holes... eff off you d-bag

Detroit tried to match Anaheim in their kind of physical game the first 2 periods. By half way through the third they played Red Wings hockey and dominated to a victory. Lets play a whole game like the last 13 minutes of the game and we will win every time.

I had forgotten how much I hate Anaheim. More than Pittsburgh. The Ducks bring out the worst in me.

Hossa and Pavel have been almost invisible today.

One of those was a dive. Refs are not calling the cheap shots but are calling all the little s***.

This has been slightly ridiculous. That last PP looked like a dive to me. On top of that the amount of late hits to the head of Wings players by guys like Pronger that are going uncalled are really starting to piss me off.

I want it to be Ovie vs Sid line vs line head to head. I also hope that Ovechkin then UBER CELEBRATES right in front of cat-fish Crysby every time he scores a goal.

I say Wings win in 6. The Ducks will give it to the Wings hard. But thats okay. As long as Detroit doesn't try to go toe to toe with these guys in fisticuffs we will be okay. If guys like Ericsson start to let these guys get under their skin and we fight as often as San Jose did, we throw away our edge. The Wings win by matching the gritty play and drawing the line, the other team then crosses that line, takes the penalty and the talented Wings PP takes over. That is how this has to play out. On top of that. 35+44+35+31+48+38=231 Shots against on Hiller in the first round Plus the Ducks are out shot every game of the playoffs so far I believe. If Hiller can face another 231 shots (Wings shoot just as much as San Jose did) and win another series, I will gladly bow down and call him master.

This is going to be a hard fought tough series. All in all I think the Ducks lack of discipline will give the Wings PP a chance to win the series for us.

Holy Nuggets that was an awesome game. Glad to see a big win. Honestly I was pulling for a Ducks win, but Wings vs Vancouver may be better, since we both need to deal with rest rust.
