Best point made in this thread. We play the same style 82 games a year and nobody says anything, we whip some ass in the playoffs and we are obstructing faceoff jumping cheaters.

I know that he was talking about economics and s***, but I mean the only reason they turned things around is because when you suck that bad for that long you get enough talent to bring about a winner with your 4 straight 1st and 2nd overall picks...We'll see in 5 years when these guys start to leave and the Pen's miss the playoffs if the fans stay on board the bandwagon or if the "model" franchise is a bunch of bandwagoners, that will bail when the team struggles.

Kenny Holland is for Lovers.... He is amazing! I doubt that there will even be a cap in 9 to 10 years, cause owners don't like where contracts went, this is an amazing move. We have the core of this team signed for the next decade, except Dats who only has 5 more years, and are one of the best drafting teams in the league to fill the depth. I AM SO HAPPY!

I get to see my Wings play for the second straight year this year since they are coming to Buffalo again!!! I have tickets to tomorrows game and look forward to seeing another good one. Last year there was an octopus thrown on the ice and when I cheered everyone thought I was crazy... Hoping to see Ozzie play, but he played today and if I see Conkers it will be fun to remind the Sabres fans they let him go and that Lalime is their new backup... My main hope is for Rafalski to be back, the Wings are a better team with him in the lineup. Go Wings Go! Also is anyone else going to tomorrows game?

I hate to say it but...Marty Turco. We are about the same height. And I'll skip weight since no hockey player would be my weight and not get clobbered for being a twig. We are both goaltenders that play a somewhat unconventional style of play with some flopping around, while still knowing and using mechanics. I like Turco also tend to be a little dirty if a guy is near my paint. And I like Turco also am a Jekyl and Hyde of some nights you got it and can win it on your own, and others its like you've never played before. One difference is I don't play the puck. BUT overall I am sad to say: I AM MARTY TURCO

A Wings win tonight and a Chicago loss clinches the division... Nevermind that is onver Columbus tonight. We need 7 points won by us or lost by Chicago for the division.

Three Words...Major League Baseball... Luxury taxes means the teams with money spend so much that their luxury tax is the same as other teams payrolls and doesn't help distribute talent at all... The hard cap is better in my opinion.
