100% agreed. He has the ppotential to be a great 2nd liner on this team for years to come.

Your lucky you get HD if it exists with Direct TV, with Time Warner Cable there is only one HD game a night, if that even. In my opinion if it is in HD the company should carry it in HD, I paid 160 dollars to watch hockey

not me, Murph makes me laugh. I loved him as a Wing player as well. Believe it or not, but in my opinion Murphy 's career was extended by playing with Lids, but I think playing with Murph helped make Lids the perennial norris winner he is, and i don't think that he gets enough credit for that.

I agree, he already has in my opinion. His first two games he was weak on the back check every time, but last game against Pittsburgh he came back hard, lifted a stick and sent the play backl the other way. I think that a Leino-Franzen-Hossa line would be very similar to ZDH

There is no HD Wings feed tonight NFM, at least according to my MMS (Matt Made Schedule)

I hope he does too. He and Hank are both a lot better when they play together. I like Leino-Franzen-Hossa when Franz is back honestly.

Didn't notice. Hopefully Chelios. He has not looked great to me this season.

San Jose Sharks @ Boston Bruins

I think it is mostly a crap shoot. Anyone that makes the east is going to have a chance. Once Brodeur is back I think the Devils have a shot to make an impact. If the Habs can get healthy and make the right trades at the deadline they have a chance, and Washington could make it (their goaltending hurts the cause). I really see anyone in the east with a good shot, but my eastern favorite at this point is honestly New Jersey. They've put up huge stats with Weekes and Clemmenson in net. With Brodeur back, and finally restexd for a playoffs they could roll through the east.

Rinne looks awesome in net tonight. If we keep this pressure up though one will go in.

    Ken & Mickey

Absolutely love them. They are homers to an extent, but fair about. Complain about a bad penalty either way. And with Murphy, he breaks down a play very well, and when he gets more comfortable with announcing he will make a great eventual replacement for Mick when he retires.

Couple early observations, Kronwall is playing much better paired with Lids, I hope that sticks when Stewie is back. Also Leino is not afraid to get dirty and drive the net, i love that about him.

San Jose Sharks @ Boston Bruins

I disagree. I think San Jose could make it. But Boston is not as good as their record shows. Tim Thomas is playing way over his head, and will not be able to take them through the playoffs, in my opinion.

    Hossa to Sign Soon?

In Lunch with Ansar Kahn today on Mlive.com he stated that he feels that both Hossa and Franzen will re-sign with the Wings, and that he thinks Franzen will re-sign first at 4 million and that Hossa will agree verbally to a contract around 6 and will sign it after the season. I think that this means that either Hudler is gone or Filppula will be traded, or maybe even both. Honestly, I would rather have Franzen for 4 million then Filppula for 3 million, and I love Hudler, but losing him to a rival offer means that we get a first round pick, so it doesn't seem all that bad with Leino ready to take his place for cheaper. I used to be against keeping them both due to cap reasons, but with how awesome Hossa has been and my love of Franzen, I'm all on board.

Babs gets the shaft, Jack Adams tends to go to the coach that made a loser a winner, and not the man who is always winning.

Hudler has been much stronger and harder to knock off the puck this year, that is the true key to his success this year.

He heard me ripping on him. Conks is doing a great job right now. Wings are doing their best to blow another lead with tons of odd man rushes against and Conks is holding the fort.

In just his fourth game I think Leino is already improving defensively. He looked awesome on that shift on both ends. Leino is going to be one of my favorites next year.
