I hope not. I don't think that it is needed. There are other keys to this offseason that are more important. Signing Filppula to an extension before RFA's can be offered contracts is key since I think he will get an offer from another team. Also key is to resign Zetterberg and Franzen to long term contracts. Also Howard Ericsson and Quincey are all RFA's that need to be addressed. Once all of those people are signed Holland should check what the cap number looks like, include the Chelios numbers, and then sign Stuart to his 3 million dollars if hell take it. If not than it is key to check and see how much money is left. IF there is enough then sign somebody but I think the team is set. I think the only new blood needed is to sign a veteran goalie to back up Larsson in the AHL and to be insurance in case of injury. Ozzie did embelish when he was hit today, but whatever, the team did not dive, and they sure as hell don't pbstruct. I think reffereeing hasnt been too bad this series at all. Hey Sid instead of whining about the refs, and calling the Wings divers, and obstructors, how about you try actually showing up to a game. He has been invisible in BOTH games, and barely noticeable on either side of the ice.

There is no conspiracy. The only call that I think was really botched was the homer influenced goal dissalowment. Other then that the Wings just played kind of undisciplined. Its no conspiracy. Refs especially Ohallarhan have a huge bias to call homer on interference.

I'm surprised they penalized him for hitting homer, I thought theyd give him a medal.

What I don't understand is that they want to shrink goalies equipment to minimize an unfair advantage. But that s*** flies?

Firstly there is not a fix in to get PIT the cup. O'Hallarhan is just a horrible referee.

REALLY?!?!?! A week ago I am reading oh Ozzie where have you been all these playoff years, now I read oh Ozzie you can't close it out lets go back to Dom. Why is it always the goalie thats the goat. Bottom line, Wings have been s***ty the last 3 games, since game 3 they only showed up for half the game. Oz isn't the problem guys. EDIT TO ADD: Also after one loss everyone says McLeod is crazy for saying scoring is a concern, but after 2 loses, Oz's goaltending is a concern?!?!?! I think Bruce was more correct.

Congratulations to Team Russia, and to Team Canada. Feds-Ovie-Semin had I think they said a combined 17 points on a line together in the worlds...so to answer everyone's questions...no Feds will not be a Wing, he is going to play out his career on a line with Semin and Ovie...

He won't be useless, but he won't be able to keep up with the pace of the games since he doesn't skate well which is why D-Mac has struggled as well. Downey=McCarty=Neither should be in for this series.

Not in trouble, if we lose game 6 then we are in trouble, right now we are on our heels, and in need of some adjustments. I think a few line-up changes are in order. Personally I think that it may be a good idea to split Hank and Dats tomorrow since on the road they will put the Peterson line up against those 2 every shift, and I also think splitting Kronner and Stewie up into a pair with Lids and Raffi would be beneficial to have one physical and one offensive D man on each pair. So to start the game my lines would be Filpulla-Datsyuk-Homer Cleary-Zetterberg-Hudler Drake-Draper-Maltby Hartigan/Abdelkader-Helm-Samuelsson Lids-Stuart Kronner-Raffi Lebda/Lilja/Ericsson-Lilja/Chelios/Ericsson Meaning I want either Lilja or Ericsson in for either Cheli or Lebda, since those two, espsecially Cheli haven't been great this round If things don't work shift back to the old lines. But against Peterson and with the lack of 2 lines right now, its been over 2 games since a non-PP goal by somebody NOT Hank or Dats has been scored, it may be time to break the twins up.

Sitting Cleary will only hurt the team defensively. He has not been bad on defense, but his offense has been wretched. It looks like he is afraid to go to the net lately and that is bad news, since that is how he scores.
