I accidently started a new thread on that cause I didn't see this one...If you have Center Ice the game will nt be blacked out because of theoverlap. So if you have Center Ice you can watch the game still from the begining. My brother emailed the NHL complaining and that was what he was told.

No the game starts at 9:00 pm but Versus coverage starts at 9:30....just another product of the brain child called the NHL and VS....

This is bogus because the game starts at 9:00 pm, but the VS coverage doesn't start until 9:30... so pretty much instead of covering the game at a time that doesn't mean overlap, or not covering it on VS at all so its not blacked out on my CI Online would have been nice, since now I cannot watch the 1st period. This is just poor scheduling by the NHL and by Versus and another example of why they suck. The Wild/Avs play tonight and tomorrow night, so on Tuesday there are 2 late games...on Wed everything is an east coast game so they pushed the wings/preds to a 9 o'clock start so that they could still cover 2 games that night. Granted Nashville is Central Time so that is an 8 o'clock start in Nashville (Not absurd) but they couldnt make it a 10 o clock game because that is a 9 start in local nashville time which is to late. I just think that the NHL and Versus should have put one late game tomorrow and one on wednesday, then the wings game would have started at 7:30 or 8:00 eastern time on wednesday, Versus wouldn't cover it and i could watch it on center ice online... There is my I have to miss the 1st period rant....

I only half agree with you. I think that there is a fine line between playing the game and making the game look stupid. I am not saying it should have been a penalty because I don't believe it should be, I just think it makes the sport look bad to see that happen. Plus if a Devils player decked him out it would have been interference and I believe they were already short-handed, so they have to choose between a dumb penalty at a bad time or letting avery be an ass... (I do like Avery by the way, just think that he was an ass there)

So I thought that this was hilarious. While I watched it I was initially thinking how it should be unsportsmanlike conduct, then I thought about it and wasn't sure where I stand, then I went through 7 pages of this thread and still am not sure where I stand. In terms of the deed itself it is hilarious and I'm glad it happened since I needed a good laugh. In terms of its fairness, I still dont quite know. I know if I was in net and somebody did that to me I would deck the guy out. I hit them in the back of the legs with the sitck if they get to pushy with their back to me, so like that (unlink Brodeur) I wouldnt have missed. I think that it made him look foolish and not remotely like a hockey player, because he took himself 100% out of the play. It was something I'd expect to see in the Mighty Ducks Disney Movies... I don't think its illegal or deserves a penalty, but its the same as when A-Rod yelled gott it behind the Blue Jays 3B last year, it isn't illegal, it's not a penalty, its just clasless...

nhl.com looks the same to me as of 8 am today, and tsn's new outlook sucks, its not as user friendly.

I shaved today, I always shave the day after the regular season ends, and then grow it out. 2 years ago I pre-game bearded, and it was a first round out, last year I had to shave for a wedding and it was a 3rd round out.. this year fresh beard + no shave will do the magic.

I like to leave the one point for an ot loss, i don't mind that. But i eliminate shootouts all together. I think that a tie is a tie at the end of OT. If you do this things shake up a bit. Also my reson for that is that since they initially made the OT loss point to make OT more exciting it has been canceled out buy the shootout because a lot of teams play the trap in OT to get to a shootout, and OT is boring again.
