Only reason I mentioned history is due to the fact that Simon had pretty much just returned from his tomahawk chop suspension...If Pronger got 30 I would feel it 100% justified...BUT I'm not expecting it and would be satisfied with 15 games...

The Wings are looking very crappy today. Wings just clinhed the playoffs and Nashville needs to win almost all their games to stand a chance...I can tell who is playing more motivated...not the Wings....

Agreed, and at a great price too.

To me the only sure things are Lidstrom, Kronwall, and Rafalski. And I think Chelios will play here until he retires. So those four are locked into the lineup. I think that Meech is a keeper, and Ericsson will be great and ready next year so there are #5 and #6. Lilja in my idea is a good keeper if he will sign for the right price. I highly doubt Stuart will be back next year, and also think the Wings don't need to keep him. Lebda is expendable. He is Mathieu Dandenault. Somebody I like (I loved Dandy though and have his jersey), but they are not guys you build a team around, if they arent needed you can let them go. And for Quincey, I am mixed on him. I don't see him becoming a star, and at best a #4 D-man, maybe even just a 3rd pair guy. I would like to keep him around to be proven wrong, but think that Ericsson, Meech and Kindl will all be better. Also don't forget about Smith down the road as well.

I am also slightly guilty here. I don't use them when I;m not angry but in the heat of the moment I get carried away. I think this was a good reminder to post for us that have gotten carried away with the no filter (myself included). Keep up the good work Matt.

Regardless of how much I hate the guy I feel bad for him. Nobody deserves that kind of injury. Anything that vicious is nothing I would wish on my worst enemy. Would I love to see Downey or D-Mac kick his butt yes. But not something like this. Hope its not too bad and he can get back alright (So Darren can show him what happens when you don't take your helmet off...He takes it off for you, just ask Claude Lemieux).

Man nothing is good enough for some people. Yeah it was a little much to give for Stuart, but its not bad. And he is big, and can kick Sammy off the PP point....everyone should be happy.

I'm not too upset that the Wings didn't get anything. I would have wanted a depth forward or a depth defenseman, but overall, with all the guys coming back from injury, I still think the Wings can win the Cup.
