Murph laughed because he didn't know how to answer that question. Stifle the Senators offense... How about PLAY SMART HOCKEY...that would cover it wouldn't it.

Yup 1G and 5A in his last 6 games is definitely a problem... The guy has been coming around lately. I say let him keep going.

I would take Lilja back over Salei any day of the week.

Looks like he had it up more than necessary and it may be a medical emergency.

Or Brian Burke will think that Brad McCrimmon is a sure fire replacement for DIon Phaneuf when he gets injured (just like Lebda was) and he will sign him to PLAY on the first pair D. Then he will say that we should all feel bad the Phil Kessel was picked last and has a bad temper, and join him in his babying of the man he lost Seguin for...then when you remind him that he lost Seguin for Kessel, join him at the bar...

When you get to his house to light the dog s*** you will find out that he actually has an escaped penguin from the zoo write his plans out. Hope people get the reference.

Nobody can keep pace with murph. He can down a keg on his own in one game and just be tipsy. That is his legend!

Wow...Very few people on this team are playing at all, let alone well, tonight.

He is that happy because he realizes he may be able to play again next year after all!

The rebounds were a huge problem last year, and arguably why I was never super confident in him last season. At the beginning of this season the rebounds were non-existent and I was very confident. Since his struggles began there has been a very obvious trend. Howard playing well = no rebounds (like the 2nd period here) Howie playing bad = LOTS OF HUGE REBOUNDS (1st period)

The D is still struggling but Howie is looking more confident this period. He is playing the angels and controlling rebounds much better here in the 2nd.

That is a very true point. Bettman's precious "New NHL" rules are built to see 4-3 games instead of 2-1 and 3-2 games. He would even prefer 5-4 than 4-3. With the inability to cut guys off from getting into the corner there is much more of a need to commit to playing the corner instead of the man, which leaves more space in front of the net.

I take this statement to mean that you think Murph would make a great Defensive coach. And that he would offer to be paid in dollar hot dogs instead of money. And thus I approve. But in all seriousness. Yes a big part of it is the players are over-commiting and not being smart with the puck. But I feel like its been a trend since McCrimmon has taken over where there are more careless errors than I ever remember before then.

The most frustrating thing about McCrimmon is that MacLean was a great D-coach before he moved into McLellan's old spot. We should have hired to replace McLellan and never should have moved MacLean from his old job...

If the net were 2 hookers I bet Hudler would shoot to score more instead of always looking for the pass.

Eaves NEEDS to stay on the PP

I will put it this way... Of all the guys that can play on both the PP and the PK, he is the one that I would prefer to only play PK to stay fresh for that and continue being one of our best penalty killers. So, yes I like him on the PP. But keeping him fresh on the PK is more important to me.

    Jordin Tootoo in rehab

Hope he took the time to better himself. Wish he took more time because Nashville is too close for comfort in the standings... In all serious though...Hate the guy on the ice...Don't know anything about him off it. Wish him the best in his life.

    Thoughts on Salei

I have a love-hate relationship with Salei. He has moments where he plays outstanding and makes life great. Then he has plenty of moments where he pinches at inappropriate times and misses the puck and his man causing plenty of odd man rushes. He is a good value for what he is. But I would rather still have Lilja.

    Darren Helm's goal song

The Helm goal from last night, his goal song, his nickname and the return of Archer have all inspired my new GIF Avatar. Love Helmer's goal song. He is becoming a player that is very exciting in both zones!

Jordan Pearce recalled from GR, JMac sent down

Read that the only reason they did this is because if he stayed on the roster longer he would have had to have passed through waivers to be sent down. This move was simply to protect themselves from losing 2 goalies to waivers in 1 week (Nabokov and MacDonald)
