YEah it was correct, I read it wrong. Sorry.
-
Oh yeah it did, I thought that you meant since somebody posted the schedule without it on there for the NHL network... (edit) nevermind it is on there on that schedule too...The whole thing went over my head there. I apologize.
-
No need. The scheduele posted is for the NHLN-CA not the NHLN-US I checked my tuesday schedule and it is the TSN trade show. NHLN-CA can't show it cause TSN is. So Americans with the NHL network are covered.

TSN Yes he also says it is not about the money, but that is the money he is going to fetch. He may not base his decision on money, but that is the money he will get from the team he feels, is best suited to win...so yes he is that expensive. -

Hossa Sweepstakes down to four teams?

I don't think the Canadiens would trade Higgins. Also Spectors So while I think you did a good analysis, those are not persay the players Atlanta would want for each team, or that are available... -

I believe in post #749 I proved my point that he is too expensive, because we can assume the raise in cap for next season, but not the one after that, and no raise in cap after that does not leave enough money to re-sign Zetterberg....So yes I proved otherwise.... -

1. Hossa's not affordable long term 2. Hossa's not affordable long term 3. Hossa's not affordable long term 4. Yes the team needs scoring depth 5. did I mention Hossa is not affordable long term -
Thanks, I'm excited, thats my 2 dollars for the month worth it right there.
-
It does in Rochester, and its finals week, and I have no finals that day, so that is all I'll do
-
Where did you get that info from, I hope it is correct. I pay 2 dollars a month for it they better give me trade deadline coverage.

Hossa Sweepstakes down to four teams?

See my aboe posts about the issues of signing Hossa long term and its implications on the Red Wings team depth. It is not financially feasable... Numbers are from nhlnumbers.com Datsyuk 6.7 million Zetterberg 2.65 million Holmstrom 2.25 Million Draper 1.583 Samuelsson 1.20 Hudler 1.015 Franzen 0.942 Maltby 0.883 Filpulla lets assume he has been traded for Hossa, along with a prospect and picks Cleary, lets assume he gets the LOWEST i think hell get of 2.5 million Kopecky 0.500 Hossa will get about 8 million next year, if not more...but we will say 8 for arguements sake. So 11 forwards under contract Lidstrom 7.45 Rafalski 6.00 Kronwall 3.00 Chelios, I'll assume he gets the same contract 0.845 Lebda 0.65 Meech 0.483 Quincey 0.520 And we will assume Lilja wants too much money for what will fit with Hossa here. 7 Defenseman under contract Ozzie 1.417 Howard is a RFA and will get probably around 0.850, a slight raise from this season 2 goalies Total 49.438 million Plus 2.3 million in defered bonuses for Hasek and Chelios this season is 51.738 milllion AND a need to bring in one more forward with a cap of AT MOST 55 million and possibly even only 53 million.... That is way too low for flexibility, not a wise move Addition after edit: And this is ASSUMING I have guessed new salaries correctly, that may not be true, they could go for more money, then there is even less cap space. 2nd Addition: Then the next Season Hudler, and Zetterberg get raises Z's at least of 5 million, and it is too far ahead to assume the cap goes up a lot again, so assume that the cap is the same as it would be next year, and OH NO the Wings are over cap -

Agreed, but he will be a very talented 2nd line player none the less, and I would hate to see him go for a rent a player. -

Blinded by sentimentaility How about realizes this is NOT 2002 and there IS a salary cap. As I have posted numerous times before the Wings cannot afford to keep Hossa long term with out jeopardizing the depth of the roster. They are already paying big money on Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Rafalski, and soon to be Zetterberg, any more than that and they would be depleting their resources to put out more than 2 good lines. So yeah call us sentimental, I'll call us logical, and I think you are blinded by high hopes and a pre-cap nastalgia. -

Spectors has an article from La Presse, today saying the Habs have ordered equipment for Hossa, it also says that doesn't mean a deal is a guarentee, but they should be pushing hard for the trade to go through. -

100% not true. Spectors lists Ottawa as interested today in his updates, and I have heard a few other teams thrown in there as well, though I cannot remember which ones right now. -
Man I love this board sometimes. I've been tooting Meech's horn all season, I've been impressed with him all year, and love the potential he has. All year I've been told "nope he is a career AHL player, he is only up because he is out of waivers." Guess what Meech proved last night he is a very talented player, and now everyone is like oh I love Meech.... At least people finally see eye to eye with me on this one now.
-
I agree with that
-
What was he saying, I tend to step out of the VS intermissions...
-
They are poor sports and were cussing bad words at the referee, and Gary Bettman says that thats Harassment and they don't have to take it...
-
That does make me mad, that is very true, I didn't even notice at first.
-
Thats what I thought too...then again he is Mr. Invincible. He doesn't know what pain is. The Hockey version of Robocop.
-
Yeah I thought I hated the Ducks more for a while, I'm not so sure anymore.

Now the hit on FIlpulla was a dirty hit....That one I'll call cheap shot on
