Meech is actually pretty good, kind of similar to Brett Lebda. With the Wings defensive depth I don't think it would be too bad to part with Meech but I'd rather trade a pick for Roberts...

5th pick sounds too low...I'd go 3rd rounder for him or a conditional pick based on whether or not he plays/produces due to the back injury and the fact that he hasn't proven he is healthy...I have a back injury now, its been there for close to 2 months, they recur and can really hold you down, so I kind of hope they take caution with Bertuzzi.... P.S. The Hussey call-up may be signaling a trade is on the way since it is unlikely that the person acquired would be dressed tomorrow and as far as I know there are no new injuries and Ellis is still up...so I think he may be moving to Detroit....but I'm speculating with hope...

The West is a grinder I don't necessarily prefer any one team over another though Dallas does seem to be the weakest link. The only 2 teams I want to avoid in the first round are Calgary and San Jose.

We would have to make the trade today for him to be in Tuesday's game, so I said by Friday not to get my hopes up... He isn't gritty but he digs hard in the corners, always gives 200% and can put the puck in the net, which as much as we all say we need size not scoring, our first line is the only one scoring so I wouldn't mind a scorer for the second line either. Because he knows if we acquired Zednik nobody on the LGW board would want to bash Lang anymore because he'd only be 2nd laziest and kinda suck behind Zednik who is from what my Habs fan family says is just as lazy...

Anyone else think acquiring Zednik is a sign of Blake leaving??? With Yashin coming back and getting Zednik they have made pretty much two trade deadline pick-ups for the run (even though Yashin isn't really a pick-up its just that they are getting him back into the lineup) and they have an unsigned unhappy Blake that can be moved...
