I am excited to see the Big Rig, but sorry to here that Janik is gone! However, I will stand up for Lebda, he has been playing better over the last month and we certainly can use his speed on the back end. Meech on the other hand, I think has been our weakest link. Now that the Big E is back we now have 4 Power Play Defensemen, so hopefully that will change this evening and get us into the #8 spot for once!!!

I watched the game an saw that live, and truthfully I was pissed, but Pittsburgh lost the game 7-4 and that goal only would have made it 8-4. The game was dominated by Philly and even our old buddy Pronger put one by Fleury. It was a great game all around except by the replay. I partically blame the refs for this because Johnson was the goalie when the puck went in, the puck was in his pads while he was in the net and over the line. The whistle blew (quickly of course) and he quickly pushed himself out of the net and suprise the puck came flying out! Why can't the refs make a call on that just like they did with Hasek in the playoffs against Anaheim?

I don't have a crystal ball, but Babcock said it right after the Kings game that Howie gives us our best chance to win and until something happens to that Howie will be the starter for the Wings. You have to dance with the person you brought to the ball. So far Howie has brought us there. It is just going to depend on who is playing well in April plain and simple.

Just imagine with everyone getting healthy and then possibly adding Schinder (sp?) to the blueline for the PP!! Yikes!! We could be in for a great finish stretch!! Don't forget Franzen should be ready either before the Olympic break or after!! It just gets better!!

I too have Dish Network and I have never been happier. I also have Center Ice and the Sports Package. I love watching RedWings Live before and after the games, not to mention if you have Center Ice you get the replays of the games later that night on the Fox Sports Regionals just incase you have to work late!! I only paid $160 for CI at the beginning of the season and the sports package was only an extra 6 bucks a month, so I couldnt pass it up. To watch the games live you have to purchase Center Ice or get a cheat card for your dish box, if you purchase Center Ice on dish, the channels for the games are on 626-639. If the game is on NHL Network and you have Center Ice the channel is 625. If you want to watch the local teams games, and its on FS Whatever you can find the games in the Sports Alternate channels which range from channel 444-477 I have had dish for 2 years and I love it!! Direct Tv is only good for Football ( at least it use to be) now with the NFL Network doing NFL Redzone, who needs the NFL Ticket! I think that Direct Tv cut out Versus, so unless you have CI you could not even get versus coverage for games. Hope this helps! I must say I wasn't suprised that the fans booed Hossa tonight, but I am a bit disappointed in the fans. I have always said Wings fans are amoung the best and classiest, but tonight we took a step back. I was upset when the fans booed Fedorov. Both guys did nothing wrong, they both left for more money once their contracts were over.

Congrads to Marty! I personally never thought this record would be broken until lastyear when Marty passed Roy for the most wins. At that time I think he was only 10 back and he was healthy again. It sucks that a RedWing has to move aside in the record books, but other than Marty beating us in the 95 Final, I have nothing but respect for the guy and thank God he did it against Sid and the Penguins!

Hell!! we could just bring up another stiff for Lame-O right now and that would be an improvement, not just Flipper stiff wrist! I just do not think Leino is NHL material, but I am willing to give him a fair shake once the team gets healthy again.

I got to see the Wings play in Denver back in October. I stood next to the Wings bench during warmups, and Bert is the biggest player that was on the ice hands down. I could not believe what a monster he is in real person. Ever since then I have referred to him as Big Bert, kinda like Big Bird. cheesy I know, but hey, it a nickname!

All right Wings Fans!! Time to fess up!!! WHO BROKE THE DAMN MIRROR!!! Jesus, this injury thing is something I have personally never seen before!! Thank Goodness its only 2 weeks or so, but damn!! For some reason I have a good feeling about playing Chicago, I don't know why, I know Chicago is improved, but for some reason I think we can still beat these guys!!

I kinda have to agree with this post here!! I am getting sick of other teams running our goalies! Its not just this year either, its been going on for along time now!! I Understand you don't want to take the second penalty, but we need to start pushing bodies out of our crease. It seems everytime Howie or Ozzie freeze the puck there is at least 2 other opponents right in their grill while our D-Men are skating away! Pisses me off too!!

Ville has been put into a tough roll to start this year! With all of the injuries he is expected to play like Dats and Z. He has the potential, but he doesn't have the experience! I went to Denver in October to see the Wings play and While watching Ville he gives up on the plays sometimes and quits moving his feet. I couldn't figure out how he was getting beat to the loose pucks until like so many have said he quits moving his feet. Someone else stated here that it is desire, I cannot not agree more with that! There are so many players that have cracked this lineup on desire, look at Cleary, Eaves, Draper, Malts and the list goes on. Giving up on plays is simply lazyness!! And we all know lazyness is lack of heart and desire! I really hate to say that about someone, but he hasn't shown me anything positive this year!

Typically teams do not trade in the same division, and there is no way I would trade Leino to Columbus, I think in the long run that would come back to haunt us!! I'm not sure I would consider trading Lebda or Meech to Columbus! Things are just too close right now to start trading!!

That would be great to see Kindl get a shot tomorrow! I have been waiting to see him play since the pre-season! I have to say I have been impressed with Jimmy Howard! The only thing I wish he was better at was controlling the rebounds, but that will come with time. Jimmy has made some huge saves and I think was the main reason we beat Dallas the other night. Dallas kicked our butts in the first and Jimmy kept us in the game! You could add the St Louis game to that as well!!

Good Stuff!!! I miss Detroit!! I cannot wait to move back this summer!!

Heres my beef with this! In the New Jersey/Boston game the Boston goalie had his pad pushed into the net while the puck was under his pad and the goal counted for New Jersey! Now, Dan Cleary is called for Interference on a play in which the puck is already in the net when Cleary is in the crease and there is no goal! So I guess if Dan O would have pushed Kipper into the net then everything would have been ok, but the fact he was a screen in front of the net, that is no good! The inconsistency of the league right now is killing the game! For the people that think the Wings would have lost this game anyway, you need to watch sports more often! A 1-1 game is played differently that an 1-0 game! I'm not saying that would have won the game, but it would have been much different! As a fan I am frustrated and I can only imagine what the players are feeling! 1 call in another game is not the same in another game! I just don't understand this league anymore!

I'm gonna rant alittle here! First off our Defensemen cannot hit the damn net with shot from the blue line! They need to stop the damn tip passes from the blue line. I am so sick of the crap that is not working, but yet Lidstrom, Rafailski, Ericsson, keep trying the damn slapshots that are meant to be passes from the blueline. Next: Out PK has been horrible! We have one player!! ONE PLAYER that can take faceoffs (Draper) that has been what hurts us, the faceoffs! Nashville kicked our butts in the faceoff circle. Their first powerplay we never touched the puck! LIke other people have said, Drive the damn net! Guess where our only goal came from in the Dallas, Florida, and Nashville Games! Oh yeah!! Driving the DAMN NET!!! We need to quit playing this fancy crap and get back to basics!! I'm tired of the excuses of injuries! We are still to talented of a team to be were we are now!!

Plain and simple!! WE NEED GIBBS!! From NCIS of Course!! LOL I'm not sure what to think anymore! It seems as if you are not just competing against other teams, but the men in stripes as well. And its not only the NHL, it's all sports! I was pissed lastnight when they called off the goal. I thought the Wings were coming on during the third period and you could just see the wind come out of their sails when that was waived off! Like someone else said, The NHL needs to adopt the red challenge flag the NFL has, the game is so fast now anyone can make a mistake and with all the technology at the games now, there is no reason to have a situation like this. I put some blame on the official from lastnight, but most of the blame goes to the NHL for not correcting the grey areas in the game!

I agree with the OT like that! Forget the shootout! If it is still tied, then I could live with a tie! The shootout is pointless because a team could make or not make the playoffs based on something that has nothing to do with the playoffs! I understand why the NHL brought the shootouts to the games because of the strike season. But the really need to reconsider the shootouts. Teams are being left out of the playoffs because they are not a good shootout team!
