That was classic!! I remember saying to myself, did he really just say that??? It was a cheap hook though! Mickey is the best Color guy in the business, we are all blessed to be able to listen to him on FSD!! That is why my CI package is soo valueable!! How many people remember the first round last year against Nashville?? Remember the first two games we sqeaked out I think the scores were 3-1 and 4-2, both games were tied going into the third, I do believe! Then we went to Nashville, and had a lead of 3-2 in the third and then all hell broke loose and we lost 5-3, and then got drilled in game 4. In the third period of game 4, Babs put in Ozzie and the rest is history!! What I am saying is, the team did not play great to start the playoffs, but had the team that could pull out games they did not play great in, then after realizing that they needed to step up, they did and defeated, what I thought was the toughest team we played, in Nashville last year. I'm not going to panic just yet!! Even though games like last night and the 8-2 and 8-0 piss me off!!!!

Jordin Tootoo got into a fight (with a fighter this time) and got hurt. The flunkies on FSN South said its was an upper body injury and will be re-evaluated this weekend!! I don't think there is a link up for it yet, it just happened, if anyone gets one, please post. I don't like to see guys get injured, but the low class Tootoo doesn't fit this category!

After another beat down, I think it is time that our Captains step up and have a closed door meeting with the team!! 18 goals in 4 games IS NOT REDWING Hockey!! We have gotten lucky alot this year for the simple fact we can score goals, but it is time this team realizes that it cannot simply just throw the jersey on the ice and win games! It does not take a genius to figure out that we have not played great this year at all, but I will say that if this team does not change the way they have played, we will be golfing in mid-april!! I could go and point out all of the issue we have to correct, but this post would turn into a five pager post! If anyone thinks that this team is just going to be able to "turn it on" in april, your kidding yourself!! Let me know what you all think!! Please vent!!!

Awful news, I know that Mrs. Howe had been struggling for awhile, and this also had taken a toll on Gordie! My thoughts and prayers are with the Howe family! Mrs. Howe is in a much better place now!! :angel:

I have never liked the shootouts anyway! I just don't understand how the NHL could use something like the shootout to decide games, when the shootout will not be used in the playoffs. Basically teams will make or possibly not make the playoffs because they won or lost shootouts, when like I mentioned, there are no shootouts in the playoffs. I say get rid of the extra point, if you lose, then you lose. Loss=0pts. I don't like teams getting points for losses!!

He was probably celebrating one of his practice goals, and then the other four guys on his line jumped on him and began celebrating!! LOL Just kidding!! But NHL Network said it was a foot injury and he was helped off the ice!! Seriously I like AO, they just need to chill on the goal celebration especially when your down 5-1.

Without any doubt, I will say Conks!! This guy has stepped in and been the goalie we thought Ozzie was going to be!! Dats as well, this guy not only scores beautiful goals, but now he's using the body!! Hossa- This guy has came in and really contributed! I was afraid he was going to just take the money, but he hasn't, he like Dats, has scored huge goals and also, uses the body, just ask Ryan Suter!! Lilja- I remember how much this guy SUCKED 3 years ago, now he is working his way to be one of our top d-men!! Last but not least, Happy Huds- Goes to the front of the net, and we all know what that leads to!!

Well.... I'm gonna go with Flipper!! I think he got waaaaaaaaaaay overpaid this summer, and I think that has put him a bit under the microscope of things! But, if your gonna get that kind of money then you should play like it, and lets face it I think he has 8 goals!! Not gonna get it done. Also, he doesn't play with alot of confidence and I'm not sure why! Hopefully he will come around in the playoffs, thats if he doesn't get traded, but I doubt he will!! Ozzie has been a bit dissappointing at times, but I think alot of that has to do with our defense in front of him!! Thought Ozzie played well lastnight against the Kings, and giving his numbers against Nashville, I would play him tonight, but again, don't see that happening! One other player I would like to point out is Raffy!! He has had some big big big turnovrs this year in front of our own net or even our own zone! He has been great on the PP, but damn he has had some serious blunders as well!! Those are just my feelings!!

the reason I say that is because: 1. You have to over pay for parking that isn't anywhere close to the arena, I have paid $20 bucks at a parking garage that was 10 blocks away just because there was an event going on!! When you go to the Joe, I think parking is between 7-15 dollars at the JLA Garage and Cobo Roof!! 2. You can walk down second avenue (Biggest Tourist area in Nashville) without getting shot at!! Hell you can walk downtown Detroit without that!! 3. Southern Hospitality is a myth!! It must be in Atlanta, because it is NOT in Tennessee!! 4. Oh yeah, Country Music SUCKS!!! So I guess you can say that I hate the city and people of the city more than the Preds!!

Well... This is a huge game for Nashville, we better be ready!! I just love how Nashville always seems to play us after we play the night before! This is the second time this year that has happened! I think that their classless orginatization probably lobbied for it before the season started!! Anyway, we have a chance to put Nashville behind the eightball tonight with a win!!! I personally think that Joe Thornton is one of the biggest overrated players in the league, he has more excuses than any player out there!! I just don't understand why anyone would think Thornton is a great player!! Kind of like Paul Kariya minus the bad hip!! The fact that someone is comparing the hit to Lemieux is not even worth commenting on!! I think the Sharks fans had no excuse this time like last time's oh we played the second of a back to back and blah blah blah. The samething happened to the Sharks lastnight that happens to them in the playoffs every year, The Wings wanted it more. Lets face it even though San Jose has had some mild upsets in the playoff, they have been nothing more that an epic failure!!

I can understand why a new fan of the NHL would think the Wings get special treatment, but we all know that our cycling and great passing and quick offensive movement is what leads to other teams drawing penalties against us. I think our speed alone is what helps us with getting calls, the Wings have benefitted more from the interference calls (hooking, and holding stuff) because of guys like Dats, Hossa, Z and so on and so on!! Just my 2 cents!! But yes, that girls rant is funny stuff!!

I personally think that they were looking at Colorado (which we play nextweek) and also Atlanta, who we play on March 20th!! I would be shocked if we make a trade this year!!!
