I would say both!!! Helm gives us a great dump and chase, and Leino gives us another scoring forward. we have a solid 4 lines with these two!! I enjoy watching Helm, he is exciting to watch as is Villie!! Helm gives us something that Maltby cannot give anymore!! I love Malts, but he just doesn't have it anymore!!

yes, Leino has been great!! But what about Helm!! Darren Helm reminds me of what Draper and Maltby use to be! I think a line of Helm, Leino and Sammy would be awesome!! But it is hard to take Leino from Hossa and Flipper!! I like the fact their numbers are 81, 51, 21, exactly 30 nuimbers apart, that is weird, but I'm sure Babcock had something to so with it!! As for the Sharks game, that should be a good one, I'm personally hoping for another 6-0 victory!! Another note, I was watching the Sharks and Kings game lastweek, and the SJ announcers said that besides Alex O, the best player in the league is Joe Thornton!! I couldn't believe they said something like that!! Joe is aaverage at best!! Talk about a homer call there!!

After todays game against the Av's, Hossa has 33 goals. He is now 17 goals away from 50. we have 25 games left! Does anyone think that he could get 50 this year?? I think he could! He is a big time scorer at home, and we 14 home games left!!

But seriously, I thought there should have been a penalty on the hit, Clutterbuck came from a 100 feet away to make the hit, left his feet and led with his elbow. Mike Green is another Mathieu Schneider! Great Offensive skill, but not all that great on D. I have noticed he turns the puck over alot, just like Schnd's did! I think that Greens numbers are helped by the fact that he is on the PP with Ovechkin and Feds!! I would say that Chara is decent, but Tim Thomas has bailed him out quite a few times as well. I would say the race is between Chara and Lidstrom, but I think in the end Lidstrom will win it again.

I personally think that was a BS call. Lilja never left his feet, maybe possibly was a bit high with the elbow, but the Blues player was falling down, what is Lilja suppose to do in that situation?? If you got a guy lined up to hit, you can't just stop on a dime!! These refs have to stop guessing on plays like this just because it "looked bad". So here is my question, Will Lilja be suspended?? Seems like the league was busy handing out Suspensions today!! thoughts!!!

I for one was suprised!!! I thought Ottawa was going to play for the High Draft pick!! This is crazy that if the players decide they don't want to play, the GM fires the Head Coach!! When will the player be accountable for themselves?? Someone said today on NHL Home Ice that Hartsburg was a player coach (kind of like dave Lewis) and I personally think that is what did him in! But hell Ottawa isn;t going to make the playoffs anyways, they are 14 points out of 8th, I just don't see them making a comeback like that. I think the problem is Bryan Murray!!! Well..... I have no plans on watching anything to do with the All-Star Stuff. I didn't even turn on the NHL Network since Wednesday, I didn't watch the skills stuff! I never watch all-star games, no matter what sport it is!! I have always felt the players don't want to be there, so why even have them. If the league is so worried about the players going to the damn event, put the all-star games before the season starts! I say that because players will likely want to attend, and I think I would be a good kick off to the season, but that is why I am an electrician and not the commish!!

Yes, Our 4th line SUCKED lastnight, but they had been playing well with the exception of the Dallas game. Hell they had 7 points against the Kings on Thursday night!!! I think Darren Helm is injured in GR, so I don't think he will even be called up now. Lets face it Drapes, and Malts just don't have it anymore, sure we need a change there, but like so many others have said, there is simply no cap room to do anything. If we bring guys like Helm and Abs from GR, we run the risk of losing them on Waivers, because they can only play a max of 10 games. Once the rosters expand, I think we will see some of the younger guys called up for some extra "grit" but that won't be until the playoffs!! Also, I thought Chris Osgood was HORRIBLE lastnight!! He was bad in the Dallas game as well. He is always always always out of position!! I not going to blame him on the breakaways, but the first 3 goals I am!! The first one was the worst, there was 2 feet between him and the goal post, there is no excuse for that crap!! If he is injured then we need to put his sorry ass on IR, if not then he needs to be a back up only, until he can turn the corner!! I like Ozzie, don't get me wrong, but 14 goals against in 3 games isn't cutting it. I will back Ozzie on this, he faced 49 shots against Dallas, 41 lastnight, I think 28 against the Ducks, and 23 against the Stars when we won 6-1. He makes great saves now and then, but with the exception on the Corey Perry save late against Anaheim, he has NOT helped this team at all in the net!!! Maybe I'm jumping on him too much!!!

Well, this injury doesn't seem good at all. As for signing the Mule to a 5 year deal coming up, Injuries happen in this league, and in sports. If your worried about injuries when you a GM then would you ever sign anyone?? Unless is Uwe Krupp, then I think The Mule will be just fine to resign!

Yep Heroes of Hockeytown, I was thinking the samething when I saw this thread!! I still don't know how he f***ed that call up!! Bill McCreary missed another one lastnight in the Columbus Game. The Devils scored their 2nd goal when the net was obviously off and he said since the right side of the net (which is where the puck went in) was still on that it didn't matter that the left side came off!! I thought that rule stated that if the net even moves prior to the puck entering the net, its no goal, but I guess not. Hell that play lastnight was even reviewed!!!

The only thing I can think of is that Edmonton got a 4th round pick! Other wise this is a nothing move for either team.

As I was sitting here watching the Wings/Ducks Game, and on all 4 goals there was a huge eruption!! After seeing the replays, I noticed there was a ton of Wings jerseys jumping in the air in the stands!! You folks were awesome AGAIN!!! I made this topic lastime the Wings were out west, and I just had to do it again!! Also, I could hear you all booing when Pronger had the puck!! That was awesome!! I assume that most of you will be a the Staples Center tomorrow evening?? Great Job again everyone, I am very jealous!! I seriously think there was more Wings fans in the crowd tonight than the Ducks had at their Stanley Cup Parade!! Honestly!!

Yeah I remember that last game as well. It would have been better if the camera would have actually kept up with the play! I am soooo glad that I will be able to watch the game on FSD!! Why in the hell does FSWest only do these crappy camera angles when they play the Wings?? Why not when they played Tampa or New Jersey!!

This should be a good game indeed, but there is another game played at the sametime that the Wings play tonight, that game takes place in San Jose as the Sharks take on the Calgary Flames tonight!! If any of you forgot, the Flames beat the living piss out of SJ lastweek in Calgary. Also if the Wings pull off the Victory and the Flames win, the game on Saturday (against San Jose) will be for first overall in the West!!! Just thought I would add this!! GO WINGS!!!

I expect a much better effort tonight. The Dallas game made me vomit!! We all know the Wings didn't like their effort!! I am soooooo glad that Dish Network gives you the option on which broadcast you get to watch, because the Anaheim flunkies are the WORST in the league, I cannot remember their names, but they are terrible, even worse than the Nashville's Pete Weber and Terry Crisp, but I can at least respect Weber and Crisp! Damn it!!! If I lived in Michigan I would be there!! I have been to that Buffalo Wild Wings and it is a great place to watch a Wings game!! There usually is alot of good looking women in there for all you single guys!! On another note, I am coming to Michigan to see the Wings play Edmonton on February 7th. I was hoping that some members would be able to go to that game. My sister got tickets 5 rows from the ice in section 126. Oh MY GOD!!! You guys have stumbled onto something awesome!! Ok I know that the house rate isn't good in Vegas and yeah its worse than Phoenix, but just think, if the NHL moved the Phoenix Coyotes to Vegas and changed their name to the Las Vegas Hookers! heres the best part, you all have seen all the teams that have ice dancers and girls in tight little outfits that clean the ice, well..... how about strippers that do the samething, it could be a stripclub, plus a hockeygame!!! DAMN!! How is that for attendance!!! But seriously, Vegas is not a good hockey area!! They even tried an outdoor game their in 1992, the only reason it sold any tickets is because The Great One played. Not to mention it would take the National Guard to keep Gretzky's wife out of the casino's!!!

Man I can't agree with you more. Maybe hold onto Anaheim, but seriously get rid of Atlanta, Nashville, and Florida!! Lets say Phoenix, Nashville, Atlanta, and Florida all cease operations. What then happens to all of their prospects?? Do they then go as UFA's?? Or simply re-enter the draft? Nashville has some very decent prospects in Milwaukee right now. I am so sick and tried of The Wings, Leafs, Canadiens, Rangers, Hawks, and Bruins, and other teams that stay afloat and run good businesses have to dish money out to these crap markets like Nashville. As I have stated before Nashville and Tennessee in general is garbage sports market. If it doesn't have anything to do with The University of Tennessee, then it doesn't matter to these people. When the Titans sucked about 3 or 4 years ago people wanted them out, they didn't want to pay taxes on a losing team!! I guess no one wants a losing team, but when the chips are down thats the best time to be a fan, it makes when you win much more fun! I think all of us that had to watch the Wings in the 70's and 80's would agree!!

I have not heard anything about the Coyotes folding!! Is this a possiblity?? I have noticed watching some of their home games that they don't draw anything in the stands!! I would hope that like someone else said, that they would go back to Winnipeg!! Bust out the old Jets jersey!! I always liked the Jets jersey!
