I was watching that game lastnight when fairy hit him, I thought to myself, will the league suspend him? I'm glad they did, and didn't wait on it! I think since it was a 4 minute penalty that is what made the difference, if that is the case, way to go on the refs part. Corey Fairy is a complete D-BAG, I think we can all agree on that!! That game lastnight between Philly and the Ducks was extremly physical!! Lots of hitting and fighting, all the hits were good, and the fights were good with the exception of Fairy screwing it up!

I was watching the Buffalo/Boston Game. I thought it was good! I was soo happy for Matt Ellis, I was hoping he would get the empty netter for the hatty!! Right now Calgary and Trashville are tied at 1 beginning of the 2nd

First off, my thoughts and prayers go out to the Sanderson Family!! This kind of thing is a freak accident! However, fighting has been in the game for years and years, but now the cool thing seems to be if you getting your a@# kicked in a fight to pull the other guy to the ice (IE Jordin PooPoo). Take a look when Downey or Mac get into a fight, or even when Kocur and Probie fought, never did you see a guy go flying to the ice and land on the back of their head. Why you ask, well its simple, because those guys have respect for the other player! Thats is what the problem is RESPECT!! Lets face it, fighting isn't the same anymore and its because the game is so fast now, and the true fighters cannot keep up in the play anymore! I don't think the problem is the equipment, I think its the goon players that are out there and as I stated before the lack of respect!!

Well.... I think the Wings made a mistake by drafting McCollum (-1Spelling), we should trade for the Slovak Goalie!! He was awesome in this game! I don't think Sweden will have a problem with him.

I was thinking the samething, but yeah the Southern Cities are the ones that deserve the All-Star Game. I think the ASG promotes the game well, and cities like Atlanta, Carolina, Florida, Tampa, Phoenix, and so on need all the help they can get!! I think todays matchup was extremly awesome, since Chicago is making their way back and the Wings being the champs, also this game was a big divisional matchup, as well had a purpose in the standings! I would like to see the Winter Classic stay with the Orginal Six Teams. I hoping for a Montreal/Toronto, or Boston/NYRangers next! All Orginal Six matchups all ways seem to have that extra excitment in the air that Buffalo and Pittsburgh cannot bring to the table!! That my 2 cents though!!

I personally like Doc. I had a chance to meet him after a Wings game at Joe Louis, he was doing the broadcast for Fox, back when they use to do the Sunday afternoon games. He is real nice guy, he is also very knowledgable of the game. I wouldn't say that he is a homer at all nor would he pick one player to love, he is a professional behind the mic and away from the mic as well. If I'm not mistaken he grew up in Michigan (I think on the west side of the state). I also meet Darren Pang at the Chicago Airport once, he is super cool!! He was heading to Traverse City to play golf with the Wings when I meet him, He took more time than usual to talk with me, since I was in my Navy Whites coming back from bootcamp!! My Granfather meet Dave Strader, and he said that Dave was an a-hole, he just wanted nothing to do with the fans that were haing out with them at a bar, he did however meet Mickey Redmond, he told me that Mick was AWESOME!! He also got me Mic's auotgraph that I still have today, complete with the Mickey Redmond traveling tours number!!!

Yeah, he does talk waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much, but if the wind was that big of a factor, then I would tend to think that God is a Wings Fan!!!

I have to agree!!! I hope none of our players make the roster!!! We need the rest, and we all know that Lidstrom, Hank, and Pavel will be there and they need the rest more than anyone!!

I was curious if anyone had any info on Lidstrom, the FSN South flunkies said it was a lower body injury!!

I had the honor of sitting next to her in 1995 for a game against the Rangers. She was awesome!! She was so knowledgeable about the game, and I always will remember she would look up at the play and then look down again, and she would always have a comment to say about what country a player was from, and she would say, oh hell he is a European he can hold his own with such and such. Also, I remember she never got excited about anything during the game, if people around her started to yell and scream at the game, she would look around at the people and wonder why is everyone getting excited? and then after that she would go back to her knitting!! She waas one of a kind!! Rest in Peace!!
