I don't know, but this reminds me alot of what happened to Matt Ellis last year! We released him and the LA Kings picked him up! I expect someone like LA or even Pittsburgh, and possibly St Louis only if Jackman is going to be out for a long period of time! As for the worst move ever, not too sure about that, but I do understand why people woul be upset for keeping Chelli!! Best of Luck to Kyle!! I personally didn't see him getting called up anytime soon, he was too far down the food chain here!!

I just wanted to say Welcome Back everyone!! This has been a great summer. I seriously never changed out of my Stanley Cup Lockeroom Shirt down here in Nashville!!! Someone had mentioned that during the banner raising ceremony that this is for all of the people that talked down about us, said negative things about us, we will never win with this team and blah blah blah!! You my friend hit the nail on the head!!! This team had overcome so much in the last 3 years, we completly rebuilt the team and it still only took 2 seasons to bring home the hardware!! That to me is amazing!! I must say, I will tear up while that banner goes to the rafters!! Lets do it again this year boys!!!!! Oh by the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANK!!!!! Lets keep pissing off the rest of hockey nation and win a 12th Stanley Cup this year!!!!

Yes, you are correct that the attendance is typically down in the first half of the year, however I fell that it will be down even more this year. The Preds sell at lot of tickets at the door and if the team isn't playing well then I feel that they won't get more than 8,000 per game if their lucky!! Ticket sales are already down this season with the team, and I just don't see the fans of the here putting up with this "pulling the wool over our eyes" BS that the Preds do. I almost feel sorry for some of the fans that shelled out alot of money to watch this team and the team can't even be upfront with them.

Z is by far my favorite player on this team, but I'mnot sure if he will break the Swede record. He is mainly going to be on the second line, and with that other teams will key on him and will make the others on his line step up!! Its gonna be like what happened to Feds back in the 90's. Just my thoughts. Don't get me wrong I would love to see Hank break all kinds of records, but I just don't see it.

Yeah I can back you up on the Channel 5 thing. I live 40 minutes south of Nashville, things have been pretty shady about this team. The owners of the team have been lying to the fans of the club down here ever since they got the team. It had taken 10 years, but the fans are finally getting it. The Radulov thing had alot of people pissed, I also believe that with the Titans at 4-0, people I think now are going to focus more on football and then wait and see what the NHL club is going to do. October through January maybe a very interesting point in the future of Nashville hockey!!

That was indeed a crazy hit. I couldn't tell if Koppy stuck his elbow out or not, but from the look that I got it looked as if he was trying to get out of the way and get back in position and Carle and he collided! Crazy!! What do the rest of you all think??

Why doesn't NHL.com have the radio feed?? They always carry the radio feed for free!!

Well..... I guess there is only so much you can do with the Blues jersey anyway, but I have always liked the Sabres Jersey's. I heard from a Buffalo fan (no pun intended) that the reason they changed their jerseys a couple of years ago was because of a contract dispute with the person that designed the jersey that they wore when Dallas beat them in 1999 Finals. The team had to hurry and have someone make a new design because they couldn't use the vintage one in time!! Thats what I heard anyway!!

Soooooo.... what exactly happens if the Wings are over the Cap when the season begins? What are the penalties? I personally think we will dump a few players at training camp (which I don't want to see). Can some please clear this up for me. Thanks

My understanding was that if you have Center Ice for Direct TV you could choose which broadcast you want, I know with Center Ice online you didnt have that choice. I believe that Direct Tv started in the middle of last season letting you choose which broadcast you want.

For me it would have to be my Grandfather and my Uncle Doug. I remember watching games with them back in 1986 and 87. The one game I remember the most was when thw wings won the Norris in 1988 ( If i remember correctly) and Jacques Demers jumping around on the ice after we had won the division that night. That was probably my earlist memory of the Wings. I wish I could find old highlights of wings games from back then, the game was so much different back then and i think better for the fans too.

I understand that Holland inherited the 97 team, but didn't he pull the trigger on the Shanny trade?? I am almost certain that he did. I still think that if he doesn't make that deal we never win in 97! Shanny was huge in the playoffs and i think that is what we were missing in the previous years! If thw Wigs wouldn't have won the Cup in 97, they would have desolved the team and that is why I say without Ken Holland we never would have won the last four cups, but that is just my thoughts. The only bad trade that I remember is when we picked up Bill Ranford in 1999. I know that we picked up Cheli in that deal, but Ranford was HORRIBLE in the playoffs!! As for the best deal, it wasn't at the deadline, but Shannahan for Keith Primeau in 1997. I thought that trade put us over the top that year, and got us some much needed offense on the power play! The Kris Draper deal is probably the best deal in professional sports! Brad Stuart Deal is up there too. I think the best deal the Wings ever did was making Ken Holland our GM!!! Without him we never win these last 4 cups!!

I checked him out on Youtube, I found that he seems to slip through the cracks! Kind of like one of those guys that rocks you to sleep then strikes! IF HE DOES play with us next year he could do somethings. I say that because he can receive a pass and make a strong move to the goal. The goals I saw on youtube he top shelved them, and that is saying something now days! There was something on youtube that said he was 5-9 117lbs. I find 117 pounds not to be correct, that would make him a toothpick. I'm think he is probably in the neighborhood of 180/190. This guy will bring some much needed depth and experience to GR!!

That basically means that even if the Kings play the game and win, they still would lose the game and the 2 points for the win! That would be very strange! My question is, if you know that you will have to forfeit the game, then what is the point of fielding the team for the game r games! espically if the Kings had to go on a 9 game east coast trip like last season!!

I enjoyed the DVD, but I truly loved the Legends Dinner part. I could listen to those guys talk for days! I just wish that they would have cut most of it out! How is everyone else views on the DVD?? what did you like or dislike! Just for S&G's

I had Center Ice online last year, it got better throught the year. Be prepared to watch the games on a small screen because if the game is broadcast in HD when you go to maximize it, it becomes blurry!!! And if the Wings game is on VS or NHL Network, Center Ice blacks it out!! You can then either use Sopcast(which never worked for me) or Justintv.com, there are usually folks that broadcast the NHL Network and Versus on there, but you may have to search for a bit on the night of the game. Last season NHL Center Ice Online was $169 for the year. Unless I get a dish thsi year, I will buy it again!! Good Luck to you all in College next year!!

There is also a package that you can get that has a Detroit Free Press HD version, I think the total price for the two was $37. I need a blue ray disk player BAD!!!!

You know what they sure didn't mention that Franzen missed anytime! I really didn't like the Pittsburgh Radio Broadcasters calling there goals in Game 5!! I'm probably going to get the Detroit Free Press HD version, I saw it on amazon.com , but I cannot remember the price

Well since I live in Tennessee, I say Nashville is the most annoying team!! This stems from the fact that the organization lies to the fans and all they want is more money from the city to keep the team here. Jason Arnott is a has been, Dumont is has no skill, Ellis will last probably only a month next season until he ends up in Milwaukee. The team as a whole is annoying and the fact that they just keep their heads above water is annoying and I believe that all of that is coming to an end quickly. As for the fans: NOT ALL OF THEM ARE REDNECKS!! Most of them are Redwing bandwagoners!! In fact 75% of them are! The GM plant here in Columbia/Spring Hill is the only reason this city has a team! They had one decent season and alot of the wings fans down here jumped ship, and now that there is ship is sinking they want back on. If you ever get to see a game in Nashville it is extremly annoying!! The music, the STUPID chants and just the lack of hockey knowledge is BAD!! I typically don't go to Nashville when the Wings are in town, I would rather watch it on my HDTV!! Not to mention people are rude to people in Wings jerseys!!
