You make a valid point, you could probably add Los Angeles to that as well! I know the Lakers have won a few Championships in this decade, but that is all LA has had to muster up!! Ok, I'll even give them USC! Even with that we are still kicking their A$$!!

Well I have a simple response!! we WILL just keep proving them wrong!! Because we all know that what Detroiters do best, and that is proving people wrong!! sure the Lions have not been anything close to good in 15 years, but the Wings, Pistons and Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans all have won championships within the last 15 years!! I personally don't think that much is going to change! This is probably the same tool that said the Wings weren't big enough and weren't deep enough!! Just like the Pistons couldn't beat Shaq and Kobe, or the Tigers not getting to the Playoffs in 2006! I could go on and on, but I don't think I need to!! So lets just keep pissing these people off, and keep on doing what we've been doing, and that would be WINNING!! Everyone can't wait to drive that final nail in the Detroit/Michigan coffin, but the truth is the casket hasn't been built and never will be!!!

WOW this is a loaded question!! I would have a huge party!! Drive it to downtown Trashville and hoist it over my head in front of the Sommet Center with my Redwing championship merchandise on!! I would also eat and drink out of it for sure! It would be just one huge partyday for me!! I did win the Stanley Cup with the Wings in NHL 08, so I should get a day with it anyway, right???

My best memory of Dom would be in the 2002 western Conference Finals against the dives. We were down 3 games to 2 and Dom not only beat them in two straight, but didn't allow a goal. He pretty much said I want my name on that damn cup!! I honestly don't think I have ever seen a goaltender do that! also the Gaborik flip this year was a very close second! Thanks for all of your hardwork, you made a difference onm this team and without you last season, we don't get past Calgary in the first round!! GOOD LUCK DOM!!!

This Cup is for behind enemy lines!!!!! This Cup is for us fans here on this website!! I wish that I could have watched this game with my brother who lives in Wyoming!! This Cup is also for my Mom!! I was at work lastnight during the game, but caught the very end of the game! She called me crying her eyes out, and then I lost it too!! This team means so much to all of us in my family, and to all of us here on this website! You never forget where you came from and who you watched your first game with!! I have so many memories with this team!! This Cup is for the Citizens of HOCKEYTOWN!!!!

I mentioned this before, Nashville had the 2nd best record (behind San Jose who won 18/20 down the stretch) from Jan 1 up to the playoffs. That says something. I still ddon't think they were an "8th seed" I personally thought that Nashville was probably the second or third best team in the west the second half of the season. I honestly thought we were in trouble when we drew them in the first round this year. I think that Nashville helped us win the cup this year. That test early on got us going for a long playoff run! After Game 5 in that series we totally dominated our opponents!! To answer the question, Nashville was our toughest opponent! Dallas and Pittsburgh were desperate teams, and I think Nashville played us head to head better!!

With all of the Penguins complaining over the calls, they finally got some that went there way. Now with that being said they only cashed in on 2 of them. I'm starting to think that the refs will look the other way now, because they see that the calls are not making any impact on the game. I have to agree that Ozzie has been run alot in this series espically from Fairy Roberts and that pisses me off, there should have been at least 3 calls on him, but thats ok were a better team for that. I just think that the refs are not going to call as many penalties tonight because I think Pittsburghs coach have kind of showed them up a little! Just my thoughts!! GO WINGS!!!!!

Im really suprised by these respones! I thought that we needed experience. I said sit Helm. Trust me I love Helm, but I think Mac brings experience and good moral on the bench when we are in close games!! drapes, Malts and Mac have that motivational edge that Helm doesn't have just yet!! Some of the questions that they asked Ozzie, Sammy Draper and Drake were horrible questions!! I love how the press trys to bait our guys with the interfernce call!! I have been waiting for this threat since the Nashville series. I think sammy has been one of our best players in the playoffs! He is always the last one off the ice during his shift. He makes sure the puck is deep, and even skates around to kill time on the PK. I know that this stuff goes under the radar, but his defensive style is what makes him a great player on the Wings! we all knew that he wasn't a 30+ goal scorer when we got him. I personally think his Defense is great! He also playes with an edge that I like, He is always in the middle of the scrums too. Yeah sure he misses the goal alot, but I will take that because of his defense. I personally think he gets a bad rap on this site,but hey I understand that because we love the hell out of this team, and we all praise them when they deserve it and we ***** when they need it! Today on NHL Network sammy stated that he needed to start scoring, and When he does he is usually streaky!! We'll see!! WAY TO GO SAMMY!!! GO WINGS!!!!

I would first get rid of the delay if game penalty when a player clears the puck over the glass, however if the ref feels that the player did it on purpose then a penalty can be enforced! The automatic thing kills me. Also I agree with getting rid of the shootouts! 2 Points for a win, and 1 for a tie. I just don't feel that teams are trying to win games in the 5 minute overtime anymore, because they know they already have a point and they feel better about the s***out, I mean shootout. Plus how can something like the shootout mean something in the reg season and have the potential to eliminate a team from playoff contention, yet not be in the playoffs?? 4on4 10 minute overtimes is the way it should be!!

Yeah, I went online to buy the hat and shirt and it cost me with shipping $54. But I wanted the items so bad it didn't matter. We Won the Western Conference Tonight after the media said we had no chance at winning!! This team wasn't deep enough, wasn't physical enough, not good enough goal tending!! Well let me just tell ya!! WERE IN THE FINALS!!! KISS MY REDWING ASS!!! (Sorry Matt), but I have been waiting all year to tell these people to EAT IT!!! Hey Thanks Modano!!! You guys had great run!! Beating Anaheim and San Jose is a BIG DEAL!! Those were the teams that were suppose to represent the West!! Your team showed what a great team you have, and I believe you will be a force next season!! I don't want to hit the panic button, but do you all think that we are in trouble?? It seems that we don't have the jump that we had the first three games! Dallas is confident now, and I just see us losing game 6 in Dallas. Turco got a win in Joe Louis for the first time. Maybe I'm over reacting, but I just don't see it!! We have not showed that killer instinct that we had with Nashville/Colorado! Let me know what you all think, please cheer me up!!!

Keep this in mind too.... since 1995, we have NEVER finished the Western Conference Finals out on the road! 1995 @Chicago, 1997@Colorado, 1998@ Dallas, 2002 we had to come back from 3-2 just to get to game 7 at home!! with the exception of Chicago we lost all of those series game 5's. VERY INTERESTING!!
