I have to still agree with Matt!! we played like s$%# today, and there is no excuse!! right from the get go today we had no jump until they scored!! That means your reacting!! YOU NEVER WIN when you react in the playoffs!! All the confidence is in the Dallas lockeroom right now!! Panic- no, concerned- Yes!!

Thats what I mean, We are not finishing!!! This is exactly the way we played during our losing streaks in the reg.season. I just see history repeating itself here!! I'm sorry if I sound like I'm whining, but there killing me!! Maybe Dallas is playing better, but I still don't see that!!

Gordie, I totally agree with you, we were running around waaaaaaay to much the 1st, and I thought that with the penalties we simply could not get our game going. We all know that you must get to Turco early or he get better as the game goes on (kinda like Patty Roy), we put 5 shot on him in the first, not good enough when you have a chance to eliminate someone!! Like I said earlier, we MUST win game 5 or were in DEEP TROUBLE!!

All I can say is HORRIBLE!! Just HORRIBLE!! In fact this game reminds me of the Game 6 against Edmonton!! That is how bad the officals were tonight!! All I can say is we better win Game 5, or we're in BIG TROUBLE!! All in all I thought we played pretty good tonight, its just Dallas could do no wrong!! I simply cannot stand how terrible the Refs have been this year in the playoffs. Last night in the Pitt/Philly series they we're calling hooking peanlties that weren't even close. There is no consistancy, and I blame the NHL and Bettman for this. They put so much pressure on the refs to call these cheese-dick calls, and it almost seems like they call things they don't actually see because they are under the microscope! The NHL should be ashamed for this, this is why there ratings are down because they always want to change things!! Sorry, I'm ranting, but DAMN!!!

As pissed as I am, I'm going to look on the bright side, Dallas had the refs and probably their "best" game of the series and they still barely won. Yes I know that they won, but still!! Plus we need a bit of adversity!! I will say this, if we lose Game 5, were in DEEP TROUBLE!!! I wonder if the Mule will return in GM5???? DAMN AM I PISSED!!!!

That is amazing!! The other thing is that Franzen (the leading goal scorer with 12) has been out of our line up and yet we still dominate. Maybe we are deep!! Amagine if Pittsburgh lost Crosby or Malkin, they would probably be done! It just amazing that we lose the top goal scorer and still power on!! I don't mean to be a negative Nancy,but we have never won 10 straight games in team history! It seemed like when we won 9 straight this season, we followed it up with 3 or 4 loses. I just hope we don't fall into that again now!! lets finish them on wednesday!!!!! GO WINGS!!

With the rising temp in Dallas this week, I have been worried about the ice condition for this week. I know that Dallas is playing in a new arena, but I am really concerned over the ice. That is why it was so important for us to win the first two games in Detroit. I was wondering if anyone that lives in the Dallas area, or that follows the Stars know if the ice has ever been bad on hot days in the AAC or what? I know that here in Nashville when the Wings played Game 6 the ice was horrible, and led to bad bounces (thankfully our way). Usually when the ice is bad you have to get your chances early in the periods,and we know that Dallas will come out flying tomorrow night, so I'm worried about falling behind early on bad ice!

Thanks for the update, I was watching the Weather Channel last friday and they said that the temps would be in the Mid-90's. I then became very concerned! 85 and 77 will be much better than 90+. Good Deal!!

You make a good point!! If both series finish in 4, I would think the Finals would start Monday or Tuesday of next week!! I know that the WCF Game 7 (if played) would be on the 21st of May and that would make the Finals start on the 24th, so all in all the Finals could be over with the first week in June! But you know we are dealing with Bettman, and I'm sure he would like to see the Finals go into July!!

Yes, very true. However I think Dallas is much better than Nashville, and Bad Ice slows the play down, which I think will help Dallas in the long run!! I don't know, but I always seem to worry alot this time of year!!!

I appoligize for the mistake!! I was so pissed reading the article that its possible that my vision was blurred!! My bad!!

You know, I don't know what to think about this!! I will say this much. The officating in this series and playoffs as a whole has been TERRIBLE!!!! The officals have been very inconsistant with calles. For example the Holmstrom dive! why didn't Turco get called for a dive when he all of a sudden fell behind his net when I think it was Darren Helm skated by him? I think the refs have no idea what to call, and sometimes it is hard to watch!! I personally think Ribiero should be suspended for one game, Ozzie should be fined. The league should also suspend Ott for his actions, and I also believe that Turco should be fined and warned over his actions as well. This is the chance the NHL has to prove a point. If they let this go, then ECW it is, anything goes!! GO WINGS!!!!

Cherry did mention that the Tigers, Pistons and Lions are all selling tickets and setting attendance records. Yes that is true, but you can get a Tiger ticket for $8 and even sit close to the field for $35. Not at a Wings game! Pistons tix are pretty cheap as well, and the Lions are sold out due to corporations, has anyone tried to buy a single game Lions ticket lately? trust me if the Lions keep going they way they are, Ford Field will be just as empty as the Silverdome use to be! The columinst need to do further research before they start pointing the finger at the fans! The Redwings is by far the best event in Detroit, and the Wings know that, therefore they can charge more! If Mr.Illitch drops ticket prices, then that place will be packed!!!! I do love Cherry!! I always respect his thoughts!! GO WINGS!!

You know, I so sick and damn tired of these millionaires ripping on Detroit fans. It is obvious that they have no clue what a majority of the Detroiters are going throught. I for one had to move from Michigan because of the economy! The Wings games are expensive and I think a majority of people would rather watch them at home or at a local pub! spend 20 dollars or $100. Well I was wondering when the Wings were gonna do something with the goaltender situation. It is obvious that Dom won't be back, so we all know that Jimmy Howard cannot handle the load, I know Ozzie can, but for how much longer. and who knows this kid may go into GR and play like Carey Price did with Hamilton. I like our luck with the Swedes, and I think he would fit in quite well here with the other Swedes!! Good Move as far as I'm concerned!!

Sure we should fear Morrow! If we stay out of the penalty box, we won't have to worry about it. The Ducks and the Sharks couldn't do it, and a majority of the goals Dallas scored we on the power play and Morrow in front of the net. If we stay diciplined, then I think we could beat these guys, if not we'll be with Anaheim, and SanJose!

I heard a rumor that Mulletboy Melrose may end up coaching the Tampa Bay Lightning next season. I wonder if that has anything to do with ESPN bringing in DC!! I love Don, I have watched him for over 15 years, I think that he is respected around the NHL, and I think he deserves it! Sure he says off the wall stuff, but that is what draws an audience, IT TV PEOPLE!! I always watch CBC every saturday night just to see Coaches Corner!! I cannot believe that some of the people on here don't like Doc Emrick! I think he is one of the best play by play guys out there, and I would say Ken Daniels is second. Gary Thorne is still up there as well!! Finally a smart move by ESPN!!

I would say Dallas does scare me a bit! However if you have watched the series, you would notice that Dallas has only lead in the three games they won by a combined time of 12+ minutes or so. That does say something, I understand they are scoring timly goals and what not, but I think if we can jump on them early they may fall apart like Colorado did. Honeslty I hope Dallas wraps this up tonight, because I don't want too much time off for our guys, that hurts the offensive production, and that makes Game One scary, because we must win all of our home games, that killed us last year against Anaheim, if we would have played defense in the second period of game two last year, we would have had a 3-0 lead in that series!

I always liked Joe even when the rivaly was at its peak, he is very classy and gets overlooked a lot, and I could never understand that!! I feel that this series would have been better if you guys would have been healthy, and its too bad we couldn't see that, I think if the Wings would have benefitted more by beating a healthy stocked team!
