SPOT ON!!! I have been down here for 3 years. I use to go to the games, but I found that I have a better time at home watching the games. I personally don't like the city of Nashville at all!! Other than that I love living down here, and the weather is soooo much nicer!! The girl that I'm dating, her mom doesn't like the fact that she is dating a yankee, but she'll just have to get over it!! I get the yankee thing all the time, but I just shrug it off,it no big deal. Most of the people down here had no family in the war anyway. Most of them have no idea what they are talking about!! GO WINGS!!!!

Well.... Since this is a team sport, I will grade each game: Game 1-B- (82%) Great D. No O!! Game 2- B+(88%) Better D, Better O!!! Game 3- D+ Spent way too much time in Nashville Offensive Zone, didn't feel we controlled the game (68%) Game 4- C+ Much better all around, probably should have won the game if not for pucks not hitting Dom in the first!! (78%) Game 5- A- Best game of the series I though, we dominated the play forced Ellis to make great saves, Can't ask for anything more. (92%) Game 6- A+again controlled the game from start to finish, Didn't give Nashville a chance to breathe. LOVE IT!! (98%) Overall Grade: B (84%) Not too bad, but we need to find the back of the net. Colrado and Calgary are much better defensivly,and we will not see the chances we did in this series against either one of them!!

I must say that I am releaved!! I live here in Tennessee, and I would have to move if we didn't win this series!! Nashville played their asses off (sorry Matt), and they should be congratulated too, but however we showed that Defense wins in the playoffs, and yes NO INJURIES!!! Heres to scoring more goals in round 2!!!! We to go boys!! NEXT!!!!

Well my blood pressure is up again!! Already very nervous!! This is going to be the toughest game so far (many of you have already said that) as well as the first ten minutes are very important! No dump penalties early, and a quick lead is crucial. If we can do that we'll have them doubting themselves, and yes complaining even more!! We haven't played well in this series yet, so I look for a great game by our D, and Dats and Z!! Lets Go BOYS!!! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!

This is as close to a must win as they get for Game 2! It is important that we have a 2-0 lead going into Monday. Game 3 will be tough, they will have their "Hillbillish fans" (Chelios) behind them and that place will be loud, keep inmind there will be Red in the crowd as well, but a 2-0 lead is IMPORTANT!!! I'm very nervous right now, so lets go boys!! Oh yeah, if any of you are going to the game!! MAKE IT LOUD!!!!!!! I want my surround sound to shake! LETS GO WINGS!!!!!

Nashville plays a trap style Defense, and that is why it tough for us to break out of our own defensive zone. That is hiw Nashville scores a majority of thier goals is on turnovers by the other team! They do not have the offensive power to generate their own offense. I agree, Raffy was a bit nervous, but hey I can let that go, he'll be ready saturday! Now lets go put these boys against the ropes!!! GO WINGS!!!!!!!

Here are my thoughts: If we lose this series I will have to move out of Tennessee!! The people down here would NEVER live it down!! WE MUST win the first two games! We need to dominate the first two games, 4-1, 5-1, just like last year against Calgary. No sitting back in this series, I think someone else mentioned that we need to take control of the series right from the beginning of game 1. If we can jump on these guys early I believe we can ruin their confidence. Nashville purposly lost Friday night in Chicago, so they could play us and not San Jose! I kind of find that offensive, but hey you want the best you got the best!! I just think it funny that Nashville would rather play a team that has owned them, rather than play a team that just simply has their number. I Don't believe San Jose is as good as they seem!! I don't have much confidence in this series, I don't think we have played all that great since Mid January, and that concerns me!! We are banged up, and I just don't feel that we can win this series!! I don't know why I feel that way, I just have a hunch!! Please tell me I'm wrong WINGS!!!!

Well..... if that is the case, we needs to dress everyone! I would like nothing better than to see Burke's plan BLOW up in his face, or should I say beek!! GO WINGS!!!

Crymson, you are exactly right on this one. Over the 18 yrs that I have watched the Wings, I remember when it was a big deal when we beat St Louis, Chicago, and Toronto (former Norris teams) and now since we have won alot over the years we are alwyas expected to play perfect everynight! Also, its not the Wings fault that they played Columbus lastnight, they just happened to be on the schedule. You can only play one game at a time, and I thought we played great lastnight. The Team is getting healthy again, and you can see that. I think that sometimes the expetations for this team are way too high! This team has a great shot a winning a Cup this year, but the only way wea re going to do that is if we go into the playoffs healthy, mad and hungry! Then it won't matter who we play!! I applaud the guys for lastnight and this month for turning thing around!! LETS GO WINGS!!

As much as I hate injuries, injuries are part of sports, and hard, tough play usually leads to injuries. But no touch icing will slow the game down big time. They have it in College Hockey and its really a drag because it makes the players give up on the play and I really don't like that! I think the NHL would make a huge mistake implenting no touch icing!

In no way am I happy about the 8 games. It should have been 30+. However Anaheim hasn't locked up a playoff spot yet. They have 9 games left and 8 of them will be without their golden boy! We all know they are a different team without him. They have Phoenix breathing right down there backs. This probably means that we could end up playing them in the first round!!

I think we played the worst game of the season yesterday! We could have completley Eliminated Nashville yesterday,and we let them off the hook! I expect a much more spirited effort today! I also think the players haven't forgot the 5-1 butt kicking Columbus gave us last time at the Joe!! 10-10-2 against the Central just isn't good enough, we better pick up our play or we'll be a first round door matt AGAIN!!

I think we can all remeber when Kris Draper made it into the league in 1993. Draper was paired with Sergei Fedorov. Since Feds was always double teamed Draper seemed to always be in the right spot at the right time. I have noticed lately that Z has been double teamed alot more, and rightfully so! During the Chicago game there was always 2 hawks on Z! That beeing said, this just means that one skater out there is all by himself, much like Draper was in the beginning of his career!

I'm not too sure that Michigan would host a outdoor game at the Big House until they finish the new suites and stuff. I think that is suppose to be done in 2010! We may have to wait a couple of years to see Detroit/Toronto at the Big House!!

Well I understand what you are saying, but I live here in TN, and I do not want Nashville to win because I have to put up with these fair weather Preds fans, and I want nothing more than Nashville eliminated from the playoffs. I'm hoping that they move soon, I'm so sick of this "lovefest" that this wannabe city has. I HATE NASHVILLE!!!

Man, that is a fantastic story!! It is so true about representing Detroit. I never knew how much I loved Detroit until I moved in 2005. I found out how much I loved the Wings, Pistons, Tigers, and Lions. People that I meet here in Tennessee don't understand or will never understand what a Detroit fan really is or why I still follow the Detroit teams, but your story tells the reasons!! I'm going to print that and put in on my bullentin board as a pick me up when the chips are down!! I hope that someday I can find someone to share the game with as well. Thanks for the story!! I started watching Redwing Hockey on a regular basis in 1990/91, but got my first taste of hockey in 1987. I'll never forget the 19 win season of 1988, OUCH!!

Like I have said before about this looser!! He will NEVER drop the gloves with a true fighter! Just watch tomorrow, if Downey says lets go punk, he'll run away and let girly hardisuck clean up his mess! PooPoo is a puss and we all know it, yeah sure sure he has been in fights, and sure he has won, but how many of those fights have been fights against true fighters, the correct answer is 0!! Thats ok because in about 2 weeks the Washington Capitals visit Nashville and I'm sure Mr. Brashear would love to take on that little punk, but we all know that PooPoo will not fight him!!!! Oh Adam Footes round with PooPoo was priceless!! He picked him up by the throat and then beat him like a red headed step child!! GREAT STUFF!!

Over all I was pleased with our effort tonight!! Still too many turnovers that are leading odd man rushes! I still cannot believe that the 2 refs did not blow the whistle during that scrum in front of the penalty box, all I could think is here we f@#$ing go again!! Brad Stuart has been a hell of a pick up!! I love how he joins the play, but he doesn't get h caught out of position! Franzen was AWESOME tonight, as well as Kronwall!! I LOVED seeing Maltby playing the way he did tonight, he totally got Buffalo off their game. I just knew that whe our first goal went off the Sabre skate, this game was ours!! NOW LETS BEAT ST LOUIS!!! We are 7-9-2 against our division!! Lets not get too excited just yet!!

Yes this happens to me during every game!! Tonight the problem was that the game was in HD, so I had to watch it on the little screen! If I put the game to a full screen it was so blurry you couldn't tell what was going on! I hope by next year the problem will be fixed. If you have more problems with the games crashing, try plugging the your computer directly into your modem. If you have wireless it seems to hurt the feed. I actually went out a bought a Linxys Broadband router and how the wireless is flawless! Your not the only one though Crymson!!

Today before my mid-term, I was reading the USA Today sports section and there was a picture on the front page of Bettman testifying in front of congress on Wednesday. All I could think about is how Congress should have put a stop to Bettmans dictatorship!! He should have to go back in front of Congress next week to explain this incident tonight!! In fact we'll have the hearing in Hart Plaza, and everyone that had a ticket to tonights game will be able to speak on the behalf of us Wings fans!!

I have to agree. The game has not been the same since 1996. Yeah I know that we have won 3 Cups in that time, but when the league put a stop to the Devils using the trap, that seemed to ruin the sport and it has only gone down hill. New Jersey was doing nothing wrong, they used the rules to there advantage, and the fact that their games were boring, the fact was they were winning! I don't understand why the NHL wants to keep changing things!! This game is the best in the world and yet they keep ******* it up!! Maybe tonight is exactly what the Wings need!!
