Personally, I think this was staged. Look at the video again and you'll see another Boston fan right next to G-Dog Bruins fan. If that where my buddy or brother I probably would have grabbed him and held him back from making an ass of himself, but in this case no one did anything. Sure, people do go to games alone (which I have done before)but typically mascots do not silly string strangers. I really think this was staged. Just my two cents...

I just do not know what to think of this play? Or what type of reaction the league will have. I understand the rule and by that I think Z will be out until after the All Star Break, which really hurts us Monday night. I guess you never know how you feel about the rules until one of our players suffers the consequences from it. Guys are dropping like flies this season and with the new CBA agreement coming this summer there needs to be something done on protecting the players. I say get rid of the interference calls and allow the game to return to where it was in 2004. The game is too fast and guys simply cannot get out of their own way. Thats what happened on the Datsyuk play, the Columbus player never meant to hit knee on knee with Dats, he simply could not get out of the way simply due to speed. I think its time to put a restrictor plate on these guys and slow it down.

Kinda blame the refs for this. As someone else said, they should have let these guys handle it earlier. However fighting in College Hockey is a no no. I blame the refs for even letting the two squads shake hands in the first place. You already broke up a fight at the end of the game and now your going to let the two sides shake hands???? Stupid move if you ask me.

I was just thinking about this the other day, and I thought that perhaps a guy like Abdelkader or even a Helm could take this role. I can see these two being the fire that the lockeroom could use. I do not see Z getting the C, but I could see Dats getting it, his broken english would be great during interviews. By the way, where did the Z trade rumors come from???? When I use to pick up the FSD feed in Tennessee, I couldn't wait to see the local commercials only because I needed my hometown fix! But yes, many of them are getting old especially the Belle Tire ones where it looks as if the Black guys eyes are gonna pop out of his head when he has to get his car fixed. Other than that I typically switch to another center ice game when the Wings are in commercial.

Way to go Jimmy! This is a guy 2 years ago that I did not think could cut it at the NHL level. Where Jimmy was last year at this time compared to now no less is amazing. His playoff performance has carried over to this year and has been the reason the Wings have won many of those 27 games this season. Hopefully Jimmy can get 301 more to pass Mr. Osgood and then some more!! Congrats Jimmy not only on win #100, but the All Star selection as well. If there is anyone that deserves that honor, its Mr. Jimmy Howard.

I cannot understand why the NHLPA has gone down this road, but it sounds as if the NHLPA is ok with having yet another work stoppage! Personally I do not think this league can survive another strike, and I must say I am disappointed that the PA has gone this route. What do all of you think?? Is there a strike on the horizon?? Winnipeg simply cannot stay in the East, the current system sucks and needs change. Discuss.......

Well.... I think just about everyone on this board knows my feelings about Trashville and its hockey team. Lets see, down 2-0 at home 2nd period and their teams needs a spark, who ya gonna call, oh thats right the NHL's biggest piece of s*** Jordan PooPoo! This is textbook Trashville hockey, I completly blame this on the coaches of Trashville and why no one else see's this from this team is beyond me. I suppose because its Trashville and no one really cares, but everytime this team gets behind they goon it up! I wish Ryan Miller would have choked the life out of PooPoo, the team and PooPoo are a waste of time and space! GARBAGE!! If you don't think Barry (my job is on the line) Trotz didn't send PooPoo after Miller, your nuts! Think about it, Trashville had lost 4 of 5 and now 5 of 6 they weren't even starting their prized #1 goalie in the game in Rinne, what do you think! You know Buffalo is gonna run your goalie, so start the backup! Barry has seen coaches getting fired left and right this week and needed to spark his team! Just makes perfect sense to me! I'm sure I will get lynched for this, but whatever!

Quick question! Since the old Minnesota North Stars team moved to Dallas, and as we all know Minnesota was granted a new team, if and I say IF Minnesota did play the Wings in the WC, would they even be able to wear the old North Stars jersey since Dallas is really the old North Stars???? And.... I hate Comerica park, I personally think its the worst ballpark in baseball, and you would be sooooo far away from the action it wouldn't even be funny! Granted at the Big House you would be far from the action to, but its the Big House!! The only reason I would want the WC at Comerica is simply because it would bring serious revenue to Downtown! And...... play Toronto! The electricity that is in the air during a Toronto/Detroit game is insane! I want the Leafs in this one!!

I agree with all the posts above! The team is stale and it just seems were missing something out there, and NO its not Bert ot White. Just all season it seems like the team is flat and lazy at times. I think it may be time to scratch top players. Make them set in the press box and watch the action, the performances by Hank and Pavel have been HORRIBLE! If they are not going to perform, send the home and recall Tatar and Nyquist who will bring it! The only player on this team that has shown up every single night that he has played is Jimmy Howard, he has bailed this team out waaaayyyy too much this year and he deserves a better effort in front of him. If I were to give grades right now to all the players everyone and I mean everyone would have D's that includes Lidstrom. Howie is the only A on the team right now! Lids has constantly been getting beat on odd man rushes and last night on the 3 on 1 was the only D man back and didn't even bother to take the pass away! I'm with Babs on this one, we have to decide what type of team we want to be, because right now we look like a team that will be golfing in the second week of April.

Everybody just needs to calm down!! The Wings are simply getting their March/April losing streaks out of the way in October/November! We are going to go on a monster streak and all will be well soon. I personally do not think the team has played that bad the last 3 games, simply we have not gotten breaks that we normally get! If the guys keep working at it, everything will be fine! Just so you all know, the last time the Wings were winless in 6, we won the Stanley Cup (2008) Just sayin!! The NHL is broken down into 10 game segments! The first ten we were 5-4-1 (11 points of a possible 20) thats a .550 win percentage (not bad, not great either) we are now 0-1 in the next ten game segment, all will be well the next time we play Calgary which will be the 10th game in this 10 game segment! Remember the season is a sprint, not a race!! CHILL THE F%^k OUT FOLKS!!

The Wings/Wild game was on the NHL Network on Saturday and if the Wings are ever on the NHL Network or VS or NBC they will not be shown on Center Ice! Kinda Dumb, but its the way the NHL runs it! Even this saturday the Wings game will be blacked out since the Wings/Caps game will be on NHL Network. As for the Altitude network, you are some 12+ hours from the Denvoer market, so not sure why those would be blacked out unless they are already on your cable subscriber's lineup! Hope that helps!

Ilike the predictions and yes, they are BOLD!! In the east I think Tampa is going to make it and possibly knock Washington out from the division! Rolli doesn't have to be great just good and I think he can get it done! Waaaaayy to much fire power in Tampa for them not to make it. I see both Toronto and Montreal making it as well, so we may see a team that has done well in the past not make it this year from the east! In the west I think Nashville gets left out and Calgary makes it! I'm not impressed with Nashville and I think the lack of signing roll players from last year is finally going to break them! Not usre about Columbus either, sure they have the talent, but goaltending is suspect! I personally see Minnesota making the show as well. Other than that, I agree with everything else. This really comes as no suprise. But I would like to know what it would take to have the Wings and Leafs play at Comerica next year? I went to my first Wings/Leafs game last year and the atmosphere was unbelieveable then, I cannot imagine what it would be like for that game! What do you all think of this game and perhaps having the Wings and Leafs play???

I simply do not know what to say! I simply cannot believe this news! My heart goes out to the families of the players who have lost their lives! I was planning on wearing my Suh jersey to Oakland University tomorrow, but its gonna be my Wings jersey now in tribute to the Fallen Wings and players of the Russian Team!! I truly hope that everyone on this site that has children goes home and hugs them! Life is here one minute and gone the next! Sometimes it takes the loss of life to make you realize your life and your families! I surely hope the Wings and the NHL do something special for the players that lost their lives today! Sad day for Hockey! Love Ya Rusty and Beast you will be missed!!! R.I.P!!
