I just read the rumor mill on the tsn website, and it said that Columbus was willing to trade Pascal Leclaire for Brad Richards. Why in the F!@# would they do that??? Leclaire is the entire reason they are 5 points out of a playoff spot!! WOW!!

I still believe that there is a silver lining to every cloud. The way the team has played the last 3 weeks or so we need a forward, maybe two and a possibly a defenseman. Calgary and Vancouver showed our weakness very well the last two nights. If the wings do not make a move I see us being out in 5 games in the first round. I still would like to get the following players: Hossa, Sundin, Fedorov, and Adam Foote. I would also Salei, I think he would fit, I think we could get Fedorov and Foote pretty cheap, but we need help on the PP ans Sundin is a PP expert. I really don't want another first round exit!!! There are going to be a lot of UFAs after this year, so I don't see why we can't let some of the young guys go!! I thought the whole Idea was to win!! Being #1 throught the regular season and then being a doormat inthe playoffs doesn't sit well with me!!

Yeah I remember Holmers number 15, because I went to that Redwings rally after we won the cup in 1997. I waited in line for 2 hours just to get a Wings autograph. It happened to be a young rookie from Sweden name Holmstrom, He signed my mini Stanley Cup with his name and the number 15, I still have it in my Entertainment center. I still say that ever since he signed my Stanley Cup it made him the player he is today!!!

Well ADVERSITY time is here!! On the good side, we only play 6 games in the next 3 weeks. @Calgary, @ Vancouver, @ Edmonton, SanJose, @ Buffalo, St Louis. After that we hit the central division full tilt, which begins March 9th, with a home date with Nashville!! This is a great chance to see our young guns!! I'm looking forward to the next 6 games or so!! I would be willing to bet Cleary may be back for the Nashville game, by then it would have been over a month, where he could play with a cage, but we'll see!! Oh by the way there is no Panic button on my keyboard!! LETS GO BOYS!!!

Does anyone here know where you can purchase jerseys like this??? I would love to have a Hank jersey from Sweden or Dats from Russia. That is a cool jersey!!!

Get well soon Mickey, now that I live in the South I don't get to hear you all the time, but when I get to see the Wings on FSN Detroit (thanks to center ice) I always look forward to hearing your oneliners!! I'll tip back a ginger ale for you tonight after work!!

I thought Jimmy looked great tonight, but our Defense pretty much shut Nashville down after the 3 goal cluster funk!! I would even start him Friday night, what the heck get everyone geared up for the road trip!! I think the guys will play much harder for him and could help us get out of the funk!!

I don't feel that we have played a bad game as of late, but we have just had times in the games were we simply loose focus. Tonight for example, we had a bad tem minute stretch, and the Preds made us pay, normally Ozzie or Dom have bailed us out, but they can't do it all the time. We controlled the rest of the game tonight, we outshot the piss out of them after that bad ten minutes. The Wings passing hasn't been great and I think we're just in one of those February Funks, I look for them to rebound Friday!!!Adversity!!! Things have been going too good for too long!! ADVERSITY I love IT!!!!! WE NEED THIS!!! No panic here!!!

Yesterday Mickey had surgery to remove a small tumor from one of his lungs. I have not heard anything other than that, but I know that we all love Mickey here on this site, so lets forget about the losing streak and say a quick one for Mick!! I sure hope everything is ok, and I know that Mick is a tough Canadian boy, so I'm sure he will rejoin Kenny D soon. GET WELL SOON MICK!!! WE MISS YA!!! If anyone hears any info on Mick, please keep us updated.

I would bet that Dom starts tonight, and only because Ozzie is almost unbeatable in Nashville, and that just happens to be where the Wings will be on Tuesday!! I really hope Dom Plays between the pipes tonight!! Usually after he has a bad game or lets in a bad goal, he plays better the next game!!

Why is it that everytime the Wings hit a bump in the road most of this website panics. This team had climbed just about every hill in the NHL in the past 15 years, and yes we have stumbbled, but yet unlike most of the franchises we have picked ourselves back up. That is why we are called "HOCKEYTOWN"!! Year after year we made the playoffs and were knocked out by Chicago(2nd rd 1992) Toronto(1st Rd 1993) SanJose(1st Rd 1994) New Jersey(Cup Final 1995) Colorado(West Final 1996) Cup Champs(1997) Cup Champs(1998) Colorado(2nd Rd 1999) Colorado(2nd Rd 2000) LA Kings (1st rd 2001) Cup Champs (2002) Anaheim(2003) Calgary(2nd Rd 2004) Strike Year(2005) Edmonton(1st Rd 2006) and Finally Anaheim(West Final 2007). So if most of you are going to get down because we are missing two guys from the lineup, then don't bother calling yourselves Wings fans, because we have all been down this road time and time again, if there is one team that I would choose to travel this raod and come out on top it would be The DETROIT REDWINGS!!! This team has the biggest heart and talent. I expect that everyone put on some red today and yell and scream at the TV during the game and cheer this team on, let them know that we are behind them 100% (especially those of you going to the game) and lets knock off these DAMN DUCKS today and show Burke that he hasn't done s***!!! Well... I think alot of this losing streak is the fact they (Ducks) are playing teams that have either only one chance or their last chance to knock off the Champs. Like I have always said, teams get up to play the Defending Champs. Honeslty the Ducks could have won 4 of those games, they should have beat the Wings, but 2 turnovers and the Wings made them pay!! I still think the Ducks will finish 4th or 5th in the West, I hope they don't slip to 8th, but if so BRING IT BURKE!!!!!

Who ever mentioned the Chris Pronger thing was hiliarious!! I about spit my pepsi every where!! Actually Chris is just as great a Stevie is, if you watched the opening to the Hockey season on Versus, you would have seen what kind of guy Chris is, but I know what you meant, I personally don't like Pronger on the ice, but he is a class act off. As for this tool (dad), I don't know what to say, Thank Goodness God created Steve Yzerman!! This reminds me of the parents that went after the Hannan Montana Tickets here in Nashville, saying her daughter had cancer and wanted to go to the show, well I'm sure you know the rest of the story. Well.. On Friday I started the Thread should the NHL cancel the ASG, well after this weekend, I was dead wrong, and I appologize. I thought the NHL did a great job,and I thought both evenings were very good. I loved that Versus mic'd up player like Manny, he was hilarious. The ASG was good as well, except the "Half Time show". I felt bad for Ozzie, and the idiot fans that were chanting Ozzie Sucks, I didn't understand that, but thats what happens when your on top of the world!!! I would give this All Star weekend a B+.

Ok, I was wondering how many folks out there hate the All Star Game! I for one hate them, and I think there a waste of time. Yeah the Skills competion is ok, but honestly the game is boring to say the least. I wish the NHL would just drop the game all together and just name the All Stars, give them all a jersey and a pat on the back and lets get back to business. I have never been a fan of All Star Games in any sport. what do you all think??

I was not happy with Michigans big name players this weekend, they seemed disinterested in the game. Give the Spartys credit, they were great on the PK and took advantages of Michigan mistakes, but the Big Boys for Michigan better step up, or they will be out early again this year. They have a big weekend in two weeks in Miami of Ohio, they better show up!!!

Anything more than draft picks and a prospect is too much!! The Wings better not trade away our young roster talent!! I Don't want this team to tank in a year because we want to win a Championship now! We were very close last season with the guys we have, there is no reason to trade them away for a loan!!

You know, with all the Swedes we have I'm suprised ther NHL did have the Wings playing in Stockholm next season instead of Ottawa!!

Yeah, I have to agree!! I understand the tradition of the event, because about 15 years ago the games were competitive, but now its a 3 hour snore fest!! Not to mention we have to go 7 days with no Wings hockey!!
