So Winning a Cup makes teams legit now!!! Interesting. I guess that means that Tampa Bay and Carolina are legit now!! Yes I agree that Anaheim is a great team, but lets see where you are in 25 years and then maybe we'll consider legit.

I will say this much, I don't think the Ducks will have the same cake walk they had in the first two rounds last year this year. Minnesota didn't even show up in the first round and the only reason Vancouver was in the same arena was because of Loungo (sorry of the mis-spell). The only team Anaheim played last year was the Wings. For those of us that have played any sport there is nothing better than knocking out the defending champion in a playoff series or game. Who ever Anaheim playes will be ready to eliminate them quickly!!

Do you all think we could pool our money together and stemcell him a new back??? Or a least the muscles in the back, DAMNIT Something!!!! The main thing is that he is healthy for the playoffs!!

When i first saw this I thought that The Wings were looking to trade Dan Cleary!! I now have to clean the crap out of my boxers!! Don't scare me like this people, but yes, resign them all. Lilja has been awesome this year, and he has improved over the last two seasons. If the Wings trade Lilja for Rob Blake that could be the worst trade ever. I like what we got, we would have to give up too much to get a second line scorer, so stick with what we have!!!

I said yesterday that these games in January are meaningless, but I thought about it and divisional games are really not meaningless at all. This game is huge for the Wings. The Hawks have our number and they know it, so we must beat them in their barn. Playoff and standings wise this game will not matter, but for everything else this game is HUGE! I hope that we come out strong like we did in St Louis a couple weeks ago!! COME ON WINGS!!!!

I wonder if he is a Stars Fan?????? LOL Actually that is a pretty good article, because I feel the Stars have fallen off the map a bit, and as we all know the buck stops at the goalie. Turco has always had a tough time in "bigger games". However you can't blame Turco that the Stars offered him 5.7 Million to stay. I think Dallas needs to get a better supporting cast for Modano and Turco (which they are trying to do) to help them win their division so they can avoid the Wings in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Sometimes you have to look at the big picture and forget about these meaningless January games! If the fans leave you, then they weren't fans to begin with!! Just my two cents!!

Dano, I couldn't agree with you more. This is again Bettman being Bettman. I really think he is ruining this game. what he should have done is know that the NFL playoff games don't start until 4et next saturday is have the game next saturday before football. Trying to live up or break up College Football Bowl game is STUPID!! As great as this outdoor game is going to be, it will probably have the lowest ratings in the US all season long!!

I would also like to thank everyone who puts this site together!! I check the site out everyday because I'm a Wings junky and I can never get enough. Aflacs Game Day posts are by far the best, there is no reason to read the NHL website on game day because of the work of Aflac. Also, if aflac can't make it, someone else steps in. All the members on this site are extremly knowledgeable in their own way and it makes this site so enjoyable! Lastly, I would like to thank the Admin department on this site for delivering a great product. Matt, you do a hell of a job and I appreciate what you do for all of us Wings fans. I can't wait until the Playoffs when you all create your Picture arts of our opponents! I don't think we will face Anaheim in the first round. I still think they will win their division. Anaheim only trails Dallas by 5 points, however they have played one more games than Dallas and 3 more than San Jose. Anaheim owns San Jose this year. I don't think Dallas will even make the playoffs. Just my thoughts!!

Well it looks like he will get 2 shots at the blows in the next couple of weeks. I think Andy Murray needs to remember we got his a@# fired from LA, don't think we won't destroy the Blows too!! Sorry I'm a bit ticked from Thursday nights game.

I'm sorry guys and gals, but I have to agree, trade no one. I would rather do trades in the offseason,or pick up and offseason FA than trade our talent now. You give up way to much in midseason trades, I think we have a good team now, so lets stick with what we have. I don't think that St Louis, Chicago, Minnesota, San Jose, Colorado, Dallas, Vancouver, have what it takes to beat the Wings in a 7 game series. The only teams we need to worry about is IMO Calgary and Anaheim. I think Calgary is better that last year and of course Kipper is awesome in April. Anaheim, I think is weaker that lastyear, but of course Giggy can win a series. The Wings are slowing showing they can win tight tough games this year, and I think that will help come playoff time, we don't need to trade our playoff experience players for guys who have never or who have not made the show in 10+ years.

I have the same problem with CI, I have the online version, which is awesome. But I am pissed that the NHL Network takes the games from me, My mom has Direct TV and they carry the NHL Network, so I just go over there to see those games. I'm still pissed that I already paid for games I'm not getting!! Maybe we should all petition to the NHL Network and CI and lets get something done. Victory in Numbers, I Think if enough pissed off people start ringing their phones off the hook, then maybe, just maybe they'll do something. I have the same beef with the Big Ten Network. Hell alls the NHL Network has to do is offer there games online,like the NFL network does, and I would be satisfied. But I'm sick and damn tired of these cable companies screwing people, and they wonder why people steel there over priced crap!!

If Tomas Vokoun is in net tonight, The Panthers will be tough to beat. He has been on fire lately. And we all know he is usually a streaky goaltender (Predators goalie). We need to get to him early and often to break his confidence. Shots from 65+ feet out will not beat this guy!! Granted this guy playes in a weak division, but still he has the potential to steal a game!

They are staying here for at least 5 years, but I just know that in 5 years they will be moving, unless they win a Championship that would draw an interest, but it will be extremly tough to sign free agents when your not sure how long you will be there, who knows the team may go belly up in 2 years with out the NHL welfare checks!!

Well Folks, I live down here and I love the Redwings, but I'm not going to attend any Predator game sthis year just for the simple fact they raised the price of tickets when the Wings are hear! I usually go to 2 or 3 games a year, but not this year, I say @#$k em! HOPE YOU MOVE TO HAMILTON, A@#HOLES!

I would also have to say Feds!! What people don't realize is the fact that Feds was always double teamed, and that is why Draper, Kozlov and a host of others had such big games. Feds ability to draw attention and distract the other team is what the Wings have missed in the playoffs. However I think Dats and Hank are starting to get that attention now.
