What I don't understand is why wasn't Phaneuf Suspended, He left his feet to deliver the hit, just like TooToo did to Matt Ellis on turkey day, as far as I'm concerned leaving you feet to hit a guy is "dirty" and should not be tolerated, unless of course your Chris Pronger, who can do no wrong!!

Well.... if you think the refs were bad in tonights game, you should have watched the Ducks and Canucks game. Anaheim was robbed lastnight. The Canucks had 4 5 on 3 PP in under 10 mintues. Don't get me wrong I hate the Ducks, but still!! I think the Flames are still under the microscope in some sorts after Jamies Macs homerun swing to the gut of Franzen last year. Just remember we can all think that great commish we have for all of these lame penalties!!!!

With the improved teams in the central this year, do you all think this is a good thing or a bad thing for the Wings? IMO.... I beleive this will help the Wings in the long run. However this may hinder the Wings finishing 1st overall, but as we all know that means nothing come playoff time. Last season the Wings took 51 of 64 points from Central Division teams, not likely to happen this year. I just think it will make the team stronger later in the playoffs. I just wanted some other views from LGW folks.

I saw this website yesterday on LGW! They say you can watch all the hockey games online and its a one time $50 dollar fee! I was wondering if anyone knows if this is legit?? Apprently you can watch over 3000 channels, but I'm skeptical!! I was just curious if anyone has subscribed!!

Well.... As much as I would like to see the Wings put a 9 spot on Phoenix, I'm not so sure its going to be that easy!! Just a week ago Phoenix put up 6 on Nashville in Nashville. Well the way things have been going, I see Calder scoring 2 goals, Cammalierri (how ever you spell it) getting 2 goals, if you all remember he use to play for Michigan!!! Guys, I live down here with legion, and he is right, the Tennessean is a bunch of CRAP!!! Seriously. They produce the biggest lies and they twist the stories around so much just to sell the papers. Read a different part of the paper and you'll see how they twist stories. Now Legion, as for attendance, the Joe is actually selling and filling 86% of its capacity, which is roughly 16500+, I do believe that the Sommet Center does not hold 16000+, is that correct? Basically The Joe is not selling the tickets they use to sell prior to the games, i really believe the NHL strike has a lot to do with the lack of selling out games and the recent sucess of the Tigers, Lions and Pistons!!! Yeah thats right I said the Lions, 3-2 record is like a Super Bowl Trip for us Lions fans!!!!!! I would put Nashville third on that list, and put Calgary followed by Minnesota, and then I think Nashville and STL would tie for third, I really believe that STL will make the playoffs this year!!!! as for Nashville being the strongest, I would say yes, however if they keep taking stupid penalties and giving teams 10+ Power plays a game, its going to be tough to win!!! I think Legion will agree, the radio stations down here do a GREAT job of putting the NHL on the map, espically 1045 the Zone!!! Great morning show and they do a great job with talking about the games and I think do a great job of explaining the game and creating a fanbase!!

Well, as much as I would like to see the Wings play the Original 6 teams more often, I think the way the league is set up now is probably geographically correct. I think we can forget about Detroit moving East because if the NHL takes any team east it will be Columbus. I think the Wings have good rivalries with St. Louis, Chicago, and Nashville. I like the idea of the North/ South arrangement, but I just know that the East teams would pitch a ***** and the whole thing would get voted down!!
